Good evening everyone. I was seeking some help regarding adding some legs to my butcher block I plan on finishing and using as a computer desk.

I have two monitors that are 24 and 27 inches approximately. My computer I'd like to have on the desk too, preferably to the right. It's pretty lol.

I have been overthinking this like crazy. The butcher block I got is from floor and decor. It is 60x30x1.5.

What legs would you suggest I use for the desk. It will be on carpet. I do not care if it is sit stand. I care about stability first. I plan on clamping my monitors to the desk as well. I'd prefer metal legs. Do I need to run a bar across the center as support? Please explain like I'm mentally disabled lol. I like being thorough. Thanks a lot!!

I’d do the Olov desk legs from IKEA. I think the screws that are provided might not sink deep enough to avoid wobbling with this. Don’t think a cross brace is needed since it’s relatively small width.
