If you don't know what they are, Hall Effect analog sticks use magnetic sensors instead of physical contact mechanisms to detect movement. You will never have stick drift with them unless the sensor goes bad, but no physical rubbing/contact means it'll last an eternity compared to the old sticks.

    Stick Drift Sucks!

    1. They hate anything that would make the controller better.

If they were fair they would make steam input like system. Full customization in the OS and it would give every game standardized controls.

Adding good sticks? No way. People need to buy new controllers.

Back buttons? Nooo.. thats 250€ extra.

But Gimmicks like Adaptice triggers, touchpad… YEEESS

And biggest crime is lack of proper gyro support. Even today there is very annoying autocalibration with gyro that messes up aiming. Devs can change it but it seems to be hard since only fortnite has calibration options.

they better be if they want to increase or at least retain their PS users.

Neither Sony, Xbox or Nintendo are going to do this unless they get hit by EU regulations or lose some massive lawsuit.

    4. You’re dumb if you think they’ll get rid of the biggest reasons people buy new controllers

You’re talking about the same company who ignores what their customers have been asking for in ps5 updates since the console came out, they show the bare minimum amount of care for their customers so no, we will never get Hall Effect sticks unless it’s premium and even then it’s.. well it’s shit.
