    I know Goku for Smash is controversial but outside of that. What do Nintendo fans think of Dragon Ball? (series overall including games)



    I actually got into Dragon Ball and became a fan because of the “Goku for Smash” drama. Im curious what Nintendo fans think of Dragon Ball in general tho.

      Nintendo fans aren’t a monolith. Some people will love it, some will hate it, some will be unmoved by it, and probably a large number have never seen it.

      Been a fan of DB since the show aired in germany. While I think there are some issues with pacing, DBZ is my number #1 favorite anime. I don’t think that Goku belongs in Smash, even tho I am not a big fan of Smash since Brawl anyways.

      As a nintendo fan i can only say i love Dragon ball, is my second favorite manga ever (sometimes cringy fandom but i love it nonetheless) but Smash is a celebration of videogames, he has no place being in smash, so sakurai was in the right with the “only characters from series that started as videogames” rule

      Honestly, I haven’t seen the vast majority of it; only what happens to air on TV sometimes.

      Great till the Buu saga.
      Wouldn’t want in Smash but I might care less by Smash 7 when they add even more nonsense characters anyway.

      I’m a Nintendo fan and I love the *DB* universe, but I still don’t think Goku belongs in *Smash*.
