the battery slot is smaller and would bo longer fit batteries, so it seems like an intentional choice.

Bought pulse red from ms store couple of months ago. It included batteries. Unless is new shipment which they eliminate batteries.

Did you even bother finishing up opening the package before you complained?

I usually forget about the batteries that come with controllers as I use a rechargeable battery pack.

I had to got on a battery purge a few months ago, looking through all my controller boxes and taking out the batteries after I found a pair that had corroded.

It’s good that they’re included, but a lot of the time they go to waste.

They took the batteries out in new ones. There’s a report about it that was on some sub a couple days ago

Get yourself a rechargeable battery pack. I havent bought batteries in 2 years now. Saved a ton of money

Recent one I bought and posted looked the same. No batteries and the slot was smaller to no longer even hold them. Maybe it’ll be the norm going forward

    7. Get some Panasonic Eneloops. Like, they are THE most cost-effective rechargeable solution.

Contact Microsoft and provide proof of purchase, they will send you a free play and charge kit!

    9. I just go straight to rechargeable AAs. The batteries end up in something else like a TV remote.

    10. Mine that came with my x has non removable rechargeable pack….i thought it was the same for all the new controllers
