Please see above, the new tabs versus the old tabs. The new interface has only just started rolling out this week.
They've pulled the Store, PS+ and Library tabs out of the row of 10 most recently played games and added them above with the Games and Media tabs.

What I’m confused about is why people think this means themes could be added.
I think the more important thing to note here is the fact that the person on the bottom was playing Octopath Traveller 0, and that’s cool 😎

I did like the game/media tab option it was very simple, I must be one of the few people that has never changed a thing on the Home Screen since I first started the ps5 up out of the box

I don’t mind them changing things up. I’d like to see them do more with their menus, even stuff like adding more profile pictures. But I’m happy with what they already have.
People are stupid. It’s so easy to navigate my 6 year old has had no issues
Idk how this would be confusing. You have your row of playable games that always fit that row, and all the extra shit was moved up top including your game library on the system that doesn’t fit on the row.
Took me a minute to find my library. Looks like another change for no reason. The only change I have ever wanted was to be able to put more than 10 games on the screen, instead of all the useless crap at the bottom.
