Long time lurker, first time posting –
After moving about a year and a half ago, I designated this area for my setup. However, I very quickly realized that I need more space or a decent solution for mounting my hardware.
Any ideas on how I can make this work without having to move my setup to a different spot? I’m needing space for everything pictured which is a few HDD drives, my proBlade dock, my thunderbolt dock, and my Mac Studio. Also not pictured is my Davinci Speed editor.
I’m assuming the best method would be to mount things on the wall above the monitor but I’m skeptical about wall mounted shelving being able to hold the weight of my hard drives and I’m also not super fond of mounting my $9000 computer that high lol.
TIA!

You can try put something behind monitor
Obligatory cable management comment.
You can mount the Mac and power strip underneath the desk to start.
I don’t know what all that other shit is.
Buy a shelf. Mount it properly. It will be fine. I’d also recommend a pullout mouse and keyboard draw to clear the desk space some more.

Write a CV and send it to some job interviews
I’d say making a full size drawer/shelf underneath your desk is the best bet. If not then maybe a suit of armor that you could wear while working not sure how handy you are tho.
What kind of a mounting system are you using for your screens?
1. **The first** **thing** I’d suggest is not tilting that curved monitor. If you tilt anything you tilt that upper monitor down. I use an “Extra Tall VIVO mount” for my screens. There are other brands but I’m just suggesting a general purpose option most folks use.
2. **The second thing** I would do is consider under desk mounting systems. There are setups where a person will drill these mount brackets under the desk and then slide their hardware in. The benefit is it frees up desk space while also allowing you to slide out individual mounted items for maintenance or swaps.

Buy a desk with shelves man. The get a monitor stand / riser and put your monitor on it and your Mac and drives under it.
Do you really need two screens like that? Either ditch the second screen or put it on a monitor arm if you absolutely need one, angled vertically. To the side of your main monitor. Might just be enough space that way.
I’d say by fucking trying at least…
