I’ve owned this 3DS XL since 2012 at age 8. It’s very dear to me. It was my only console for years. One day in the 2010s a younger cousin of mine dropped it, completely breaking off the right hinge.
It still worked but the two screens were basically separated. I continued to game on it for a time. Then one day the Green cable that connected the top and bottom screens snapped.
When plugged in the console will charge but once you hit the power button the bottom screen will flash for a second before just turning off.
So I’m here asking for help on how I should repair it. I figure I’ll need a new Green cable for it and maybe a replacement body. Not sure when I lost the circle pad but I’ll need a new one of those too.
If any of you could help me find the parts I need id really appreciate it.
I’ve been carrying this broken 3DS around for years, promising I’d fix it someday. At age 23 I think I’m finally ready.

I know that aliexpress has a lot of parts on there for basically any 3ds model (except my new3ds). You can find hinges, screens, shell replacements… You could also try eBay for a donor 3ds.
It might be more financially feasable using this one as a donor but I get it… You got this dude
Green wire is for wifi, you’re going to need that, and replacements for camera ribbon, top screen, hinge set (if you lost your previous one), a joy stick, and a bottom inner panel to replace the broken one. Other person is right about being able to find everything on aliexpress. From personal experience, it’s daunting repair for a first time plus will require small screw drives (Philips head and tri wing) and good organization while repairing.
