I’ve got a Series X, & an Xbox ROG Ally X. I enjoy Play Anywhere titles, but I’ve been noticing a few games that mention Xbox + PC (on Xbox’s eStore). Play Anywhere syncs progress. Does Play On Xbox + PC, mean you still buy only once… for both platforms, but progress doesn’t sync?

Xbox + PC generally is the exact same as play anywhere. However some games don’t share save, like No More Heroes 3 for example (i know cause i own it). But Wuchang, is not a play anywhere title and does share save, so tbh i don’t completely know what the difference is.
I think it means you get the PC and console version. Death Stranding says PC and X/S so I can download the game on my Xbox and PC and use the same cloud save. Only games I can think of right now that have two different “versions” is Plague Tale Innocence and the newer version of RDR.
If a title says cloud gaming then you can for sure play the game on Xbox or PC with the same save.
EVERSPACE 2 supported Xbox Play Anywhere so you can play on Xbox Console and Xbox PC with Cross-save and progression support.
Some times **bundles with DLCs**, in this case “EVERSPACE™ 2: **Galactic Edition**” doesn’t has Xbox Play Anywhere tag so it can confusing.
**Just check base game’s page and see if it support Xbox Play Anywhere or not.**

I’ve always wondered about this too but I don’t think there’s any clear rule that’s 100% accurate on what systems/features a game will have. Sometimes there’s no way to know until you actually buy the game
Hell, I bought the Banner Saga games on console before I even had a gaming PC and it gave me both the PC and console versions. When you look at them on the store though it will only say either console or PC depending on where you’re looking at it, not both. I’m not complaining but more clarity on this stuff would be helpful
Which games figure as Play on “Play Anywhere”?
