    My n3ds got infected by bedbugs



    I'm freaking out right now đŸ« I already removed the SD card and the battery. It has to be recently infected because I've being playing regularly and I just noticed. I'm going to open it tomorrow and hope that they didn't got to deep into the board and I have to do it myself because if I'll take it to a repair shop in my county I'm going to get scammed. Wish me luck.

      Seal it in a ziploc bag, squeeze out all the air so it’s airtight, leave it sealed for 2-3 weeks. That might do it

      If they’ve already accumulated like that, then you already have an infestation somewhere in your room or house. Check everything: bed, closet, furniture.

      Bro you need to just burn the whole damn house down. Fuck bedbugs. I’ve never had them but I’ve seen the lengths people go to to get rid of them

      I’m an exterminator. That’s pretty horrible, you probably have hundreds of them in your room. They are called “bed bugs”, but best believe they are EVERYWHERE in your room and whole home. Not just the bed.

      Bed bugs fucking suck. If they’re in your electronics, it’s basically game over bro. An infestation like that takes a looooong time, there’s no way it’s recent. Clean it as best as you can and then call an exterminator.

      Burning everything down and starting over is your only option.

      Tbh OP, what I would do is take the console apart and blow it all out with air duster. I will say this, if u don’t get rid of the source, they’ll come back every time that thing gets nice and warm. I understand what it’s like to be in a situation u can’t control and just make the best of it, so if that’s the case, god speed and I’d try keeping it in a sealed bag after u blow it out.

      Your best bet is if you are okay with taking it apart do it in a safe space where they won’t spread other homes or more of your home. Then take the motherboard out and douse it in IPA 90% to be safe. I’d say let it sit in a bowl of it. Clean the housing and smaller parts. Take the top screen apart and carefully clean that too. Don’t worry about the screens hopefully no bedbugs got inside the backlights. Just clean it completely and let the board dry for a day or two and then put it back together. Do same for cartridge reader. Just make sure it all dries off before turning it on. Don’t clean screens either or you will probably get ipa inside and stain the screens.
