Do you guys think this hard drive would work as a backup if my main one died?

For more info. I took this hard drive out of a laptop. So if I can completely format it, and install XboxOS on it, could it work as a backup hard drive in case mine dies. I have an external 4TB hard drive that works great. It’s just that it’s nice to have a backup just in case.
