I was so excited after I saw the ad from Target showing what free gift they were offering with purchase of Princess Peach showtime. It looked like great quality, nice plastic tumbler, with the lid flush with the cup. Looked like the cups where the print is protected on the inside between the thing plastic bottom and top layer – possibly dishwasher safe, so no worries about the print. Looked like the cups they sell at Starbucks. It was in store only, limited quantities. I went early and they had 4 left when I got there. I get to my car to look at it and it’s totally not what was advertised. I’m pretty disappointed.
The cup feels poor quality, thin plastic. If you’ve ever been to Applebees or Chilis as a kid, they give out free take home children’s cups and those are better quality. The lid is a sharp plastic that sticks out from the cup and doesn’t feel like it’s on very tight either. The straw is rubber or something similar, which I guess you could say is better quality than the plastic one in the pic. It’s the one okay thing about the cup. The print on the cup looks like a cropped version and will 100% wash off after a few hand washes. Could probably even scratch it off on accident. I’m bummed and will probably give the cup to a kid in my family. They did Peach fans dirty with that false advertising.
