For context, I have struggled with NAT-related issues before. In 2019, I had a strict NAT type and was able to fix it myself. Then, I started having issues with moderate NAT/double NAT. Contacted my isp over and over again for a month, and nothing really helped and it just kinds sorted itself out. It never changed from moderate to open, it just started acting normal in online matches. Then, today, after 2 or 3 weeks of not using my Xbox, I tried to play online and I was met with strict NAT type.

I immediately called my ISP because I was unable to login to my router even though the username and password was supplied on the router itself. We ran multiple tests and attempted multiple solutions. Port forwarding. UPnP. DMZ. All of that and more, the whole nine yards. Nothing worked. Come to find out there may be one thing that can help and that’s getting a public IP address, which I’ll have to pay extra for.

When wired, strict NAT. When just connected to WiFi, strict NAT. Hell, even my mobile hotspot won’t work. Cannot play online or access online stores of any game.

At this point, I’m at a loss. Nothing is working. I just need some guidance and some help, if someone is willing to help. How do I fix this when it feels like every option hasn’t worked?

(OH, also, despite my ISP saying that UPnP is enabled, the UPnP not successful error still appears.)
