We have a setup like this for the Switch but for the Wii U I just have an HD and a Skylanders portal hooked up.

Woah, a powered USB hub works here? I thought I could only get rumble to all eight controllers if I unplug my hard drive.

I’ve only ever managed a 7 player smash ULTIMATE session, when the game was first released. It’s hard finding 8 people that want to just play Ultimate at the same time I want to. But also vibe the way I vibe. I was playing with at least five other people playing Smash 4 in college when it was the newest.

Never 8 but frequently did this with 4 back in my competitive smash 4 days….played a fair bit of doubles in tournaments.

Similar, but my front slots are used for my vWii’s y hdd cable. Can you play eight players in smash with this?

The switch has something similar https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/42817/~/how-to-connect-additional-gamecube-controllers-to-nintendo-switch but no I don’t have a lan adapter and i only have one working GameCube controller adapter and I only have 3 working GameCube controllers
