Movement and collision here are the worst, and I’ve died to this room more times than any other means of death in the rest of the game combined. Even died when I reached the button but one of the tentacles on the other side of the wall was aggro’d so I could only stand there and die.
So here’s the method to clear the room in 5 seconds.

You don’t even need to jump just use rush to teleport over to it!

I don’t understand the intended way to do this room. I got so frustrated by what triggers the lasers I ended up just watching a youtube video which did the same thing you did.
