I wanted to take this time to shout-out Nintendo Forecast. He's one of the only (if not the only) non-clickbait Nintendo YouTubers. Time, and time, and time again he's delivered high-quality, well-researched videos that give viewers actual insight into Nintendo's business strategies.
Nintendo Forecast was the source of the news on the front-page of this subreddit that Nintendo released a governance note back in March revealing they have talked with many investors and groups about certain topics, including “the next game console and business impact of hardware transition". He found this out through his thorough research of financial statements, and it was sad to not see his work credited.
His video on foreign currency fluctuations affecting Nintendo's release schedule is a level of analysis I haven't seen from any other NintenTuber. And it was a point I hadn't seen discussed anywhere on the internet prior to his video. I suspect he has a university background in business or economics, and possibly works as a business analyst in his day job?
He makes lots of predictions on the basis of sound, well-researched analysis, and usually assigns a number on the likelihood he thinks a particular prediction will come true (10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, and 90%). And while not perfect, he's pretty damn accurate so far.
It is so, so refreshing to watch a Nintendo YouTuber that doesn't have clickbait titles. That doesn't have an exaggerated face in their thumbnail. That doesn't take a simple BS tweet by a random unverified "leaker" and yap their way to the 10 minute mark. That doesn't produce literal fucking brainrot.
I wish this channel had way more than 8K subs. Meanwhile SwitchForce is at like 421K subs, and Nin10land is at 292K subs, and RGT85 is at nearly 500K subs. Nintendo Forecast deserves hundreds of thousands of subs, and I really hope they get there one day.
