potential ddos attack

I dont know if this is the right place to ask, but i was playing some Star Wars Battlefront II and i had killed this person in one of the games and they had messaged me (shown in the ss, blurred our names just cause im not that petty of a person) saying “say bye to your wifi” and i was curious as too if they are actually able to obtain the information needed for a DDOS attack through a message-i had no prior experience with this person and dont know them. me asking if i should upgrade my clash of clans town hall was me not understanding what they meant at the time so thats why its there.
