It’ll be a cold day in hell before Nintendo gives up on making us pay to play 40 years old games

    3. looks good BUT shoulda been a Nintendo online FREE thing for subsribers

I am absolutely buying this. What a nostalgia trip it is going to be.

I do worry about fidelity for the games. Will the glitches in the originals work? And will the games have the same controls and input windows as they did when released?

Honestly really cool! I loved NES Remix and the physical set is nice so i’ll get it for sure

    6. Hopefully I can grab the deluxe edition pre-order before it inevitably sells out. I’m in the UK, so hoping there is a chance.

The amount of people in here confused that this isnt free with Switch Online.

Guys… NES Remix exists, it was also $30 and has probably less content than this. I’m sorry that things cost money but no one’s holding you at gunpoint to buy this.

Now to hope they make enough physical copies of this and dont immediately sell out…i can hope

this feels like the spiritual sequel to Ultimate Nes Remix for the Wii U/3DS, i was thinking about how much of a waste not having it on the switch was, nice to see that they are making another.

i will be playing it, and probably speedrunning it too.

Local multiplayer makes this worth it for me. Hopefully those physical editions aren’t super limited or anything. I’ll definitely be refreshing the best buy website all day today.

if that NES cartridge doesn’t do anything when i put it in my NES at home i’m gonna be mad

that UI is atrocious. the bright green timer, controller input and cropped video capture on a generic vaporwave wallpaper looks like I’m watching a twitch stream. bluegh.

I hope this isn’t the only thing we have to look forward to for the rest of the year.

The wording would suggest it’s not going to be the case, but I would definitely be considering the physical edition if the NES cartridge replica is actually playable on real hardware.

Edit: Whoop, just saw the disclaimer on one of the promotional materials that the replica “is not playable”. Looks like digital it is.

I knew I was expecting too much, but I really wanted this to be an official release of the NWC 1990 NES game where you can try your hand at the exact competition they had back in the day, complete with being able to change the time limit with the DIP switches.

Regardless, it looks like a fun time and appropriately priced! I’ll definitely pick it up digitally.

All power to those who are into it, but I just do not get the appeal at all.

I understand there are 150 challenges across 13 games, but it would be nice if you could also just play all of these games. Just my 2 cents though, I’m sure I’ll get down ores for saying this!

RIP to the folks looking for the physical version. Scalpers will eat it up

This isn’t going to be part of NSO? Fuck you Nintendo. Take away Mario 35 and then sell this standalone only?! Fuck you.
