I want to make a documentary about the 3DS and WiiU users who have kept the Nintendo servers alive for over a month now.

      A similar thing happened when Xbox Live for the Original Xbox was shut down. You might have more content to dive into if you explore online server shutdowns as a whole. /r/originalxbox was tracking some of that effort at the time. There may also be people from when Wii/DS online was shut down, but I don’t recall that specific community effort.

      Breaking the 25 day record that loyal fans of Halo 2 set more than a decade ago, 6 dedicated players remain at the time of this post. It’s a pretty cool story, and I for one would definitely watch it. So I figured, why not make it? If you are or know any of the folks currently keeping the dream (and servers) alive, please get in touch so we can get the project started.
