They have this TV in sale for 499$ at best buy, seems like a 120hz TV at a decent price, I'm getting my series X finally today and a new 4k TV to go with it. This one seems to be a good fit for the $. That or if anyone has some other suggestions in that price range? (CAD$) or if anyone has experience with this TV or the 2022 model, as that ones on sale for 399$ in the same size.

I’d recommend a monitor unless you game on your primary TV. In that case this is a good TV. Will get what you want out of it but its not a 4k/120 fps TV if you’re aiming to get the absolute max out of your series x.
No this tv is HDIM2.0,60Hz,HDR10+, Auto Low Latency Mode ALLM, Auto Game Mode and HDR Gaming interest group
When I look it up on the Samsung store it says 60 Hz.
i use a tcl r646 55 in. it was 700 on black friday in 2022. 120hz vrr, zero input lag, hdr10+ and dolby gaming. You can probably get one discounted now. They are fantastic
I’ve got the 55″ Samsung Series 7 which I believe is the same as this just a bit bigger, and am pretty happy with it.
If you care about fps you’ll only be able to get 60hz, but 4k picture looks good.
I tend to leave the HDR off as it looks a little washed out sometimes.
I’ve had this tv for years though and have started looking at something to get the most out of the Series X since I spend more time on it these days.
Edit: I just noticed you mentioned the tv is 120hz, but when I look at the website it states the refresh rate is 60hz. Be careful when shopping for tvs as some say it has a 120 “Motion rate” which is different from Refresh rate.
Don’t do it. Get a better TV that supports 4k/120hz, HDMI 2.1, VRR and auto low latency.
Yes, it’s cheap, but you’re severely holding back the series x performance with this TV and any similar tv.
If a TV in this size with those specs isn’t in your budget, I recommend looking into a good gaming monitor instead.
