Hey everyone
,with the recent rumors about Nintendo's next console potentially releasing in 2025 and being slightly closer to the PS5 and Xbox Series X in terms of power, I'm curious to hear your thoughts. How do you think this will impact Nintendo's position in the console market? Will the increased power lead to more third-party support and multi-platform titles? Also, what kind of features or innovations do you hope to see with this new console?

A leap like that would require a complete change in leadership. Their current ideology seems to be more focused on gameplay than graphics. They make their game pretty, sure, but they never aspire for much more than that, and because of this they’re able to make their systems cheaper than their competitors.
And so far it’s working extremely well for them. I wouldn’t ever expect jaw dropping graphics from a first party Nintendo game or system.
Thoughts on realizing that this discussion which has already been discussed to death is pointless and just wait until it releases to see if the rumors are founded at all?
rumored? bro its official
It’ll be closer to the Series S at best. You ain’t getting PS5 “power” in a tablet at an affordable price and doesn’t drain the battery in minutes in this decade.
It’s more likely to be a 1080p console that uses a custom form of DLSS to upscale to 4K.
There are 2 entire megathreads to discuss this topic already.
Not gonna happen from Nintendo
I’am all for a powerful Switch 2. But it ain’t gonna be at a PS5 and Xbox Series X level. I’am guessing it’s either gonna be at PS4/Xbox One level or a PS4 Pro/Xbox One X level. Either way. Knowing how long it takes for Sony and Microsoft to release their first party games. I’am all for weak and simple tech for Switch 2.
