I just watched a video and the guy showed the Metacritic scores for Lococycle, and I’m appalled. I have to help spread the word:

If you haven’t played it, don’t trust the reviews! Most of them complain about it being offensive, racially insensitive, and sexist. All these things are true

BUT it’s actually a solid story-based action racing shooter full of heart and campy live-action cutscenes and the greatest story ever told in gaming. It features James Gunn and the guy who voiced Vegeta in Dragon Ball (who plays a racist gas station employee).

Its also by the guys that made the Splosion Man games!

I’d argue this was the best launch game for the XB1. It’s not on Gamepass, but it’s only $10! Highly recommend it.

    2. LocoCycle was great, it felt a little old school in its design, which I loved, the live action stuff was great, the humor too. Twisted pixel really put their all into this one. Though they always have since The Maw.

Too bad they left Xbox and started to focus on vr stuff 🙁

If you have it already with Games with Gold back in the day, sure. I would not buy this though.

I guess I’ve only made it to Adios Mexico – Finished El Highway, with 1 1/2 hours of gameplay. My god, I thought it would be at least 3 hours, because it definitely feels like it.

It drags hard. Can’t remember if there is a difficulty setting, but many times I’d be “too good” I guess, and it wouldn’t spawn enemies for 20 seconds. My bad for killing the previous wave too fast.

The levels are too long for how repetitive the gameplay is. It’s a on-rail shooter, with a dodging mechanic. When Blue Estate and House of the Dead Remake are available for the on-rail itch, why bother with this literal dirge?
