So I have 14 points to spare. Which way would you go to improve the drone? Maybe the scanner first? These points are not reversible like the ability ones, right? Thanks for your advice!!

Scanner upgrades -> slug upgrades -> whatever you want
Scan, missles, beam
Scan. Hardly ever use the drone for shooting aside from puzzles and a particular part of the storyline
Personally, i’d go slugs, shotgun, scanner, everything else. The scan range and CD speed is just QoL upgrades. Slugs are useful to use on small enemies and shotgun shots do insane damage to weak points on bosses at close range.
If you want to be thorough, scan is a must, as not only does it improve the quality of the scan but it will help you open a few chests throughout the game that you can’t open otherwise.
After that, slugs. You’ll need the slugs more than any other ammo. Shotgun would be next. The beam sucks.

I hardly use it for shooting unless I really need to or for puzzles so I fully upgraded the scan tab first and then started on the slug
