I wouldn’t mind a slight increase. Everything is going up in live right now. I get so much entertainment out of it I would rather cancel Netflix than gamepass. 20€ for Ultimate is my limit where I can safely recommend it.
But I think they can eat up the cost for a few years in favor of a growing userbase.

I don’t know why everyone is so certain that COD on Gamepass = price hike. COD has a ton of COD-only gamers, so if they “buy” the new COD by subscribing to Gamepass then strictly speaking Microsoft has just made more money off of them than if they only sold them the game. I think the overlap between COD gamer and GamePass gamer (the place where COD on GamePass = lost sale) is a lot smaller than people expect. And I suspect they think it will be more than compensated for by 1. the extra revenue from COD gamers deciding to get GamePass instead of just COD and then not really using it for other games, and 2. the MTX purchases made by GamePass gamers who started playing COD when otherwise they’d have never bought it to begin with.

I said it a million times, the in game store will make up for any losses they have from sales, only like 20% of the CoD player base is on Xbox while the rest is on PC and PS.

I haven’t bought a new COD in like 5 years but I’ll definitely play it if it’s in gamepass, and probably spend a few $$ in cosmetics / battle pass if it’s done well.
