I just wanted to point out a useful function of the Mobapad controllers, because I find it very useful to avoid repetitive grinding in some games:

    The macro function!

You can use the controllers to record all inputs for one minute and then repeat them either once or an infinite number of times.

In games like Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, for example, leveling up lots of digimons can take forever and is very repetitive. You can initiate the battle by pressing a button, there is an auto-battle function and the battles only last a few seconds.

Depending on the equipment of the digimons, you then repeat the whole thing a few dozen/hundred times to bring the digimons up to max level. This is the perfect starting point for automating the whole thing.

With the macros you simply activate your farming macro, put the switch aside, watch a simpsons episode and then all the digimons in the team are at max level.

Digimon is mainly a single player game and the PVP function of the game is dead. Nowadays you only fight against AI opponents due to a lack of real people. This means that automatic farming doesn't give you an advantage over others, it just saves you a lot of mindless farming.

My questions to you would be:

    • Does anyone also use macros on the Switch to automate things in games, and if so, in which games?
    • Do you think this is okay or do you say macros are reprehensible/cheating because you have to feel the pain of the grind?
    • Can you think of other Switch games where the grind is so static that you can automate it with 1 minute macros?

I have uploaded a small example video which shows the automatic leveling of the digimon:
