Dude seems detached at best from the video game world.
Until one of their studios makes a game that meets the qualifiers he talks about, they have no right to even think about it.

Like to be honest I’m not even against it, but my expectation on the flip side is that I get a polished game without extra bolt on fees. I love gaming, and I don’t mind paying for it. I just haven’t really been in love with the way we’ve been paying more than $70 in recent years.

Charge less, sell more. Even more so when your duplication and distribution costs are essentially zero.
