When I first agreed to do this at the start of 2023, I never could have imagine the monumental task this would be! I’m so thankful though to all of my friends and the people in the community who came together to make 2023 such a truly special year for StreetPass! It took me nearly six months to compile all of the footage and chop this all together, so I really appreciate you stopping and taking the time to check it out 🙂

That was certainly a feature designed in mind for large, dense metropolitan areas (e.g. Tokyo). During the height of the 3DS let’s say I didn’t live in areas like that. Felt like I missed out on something.

I watched your video the other day, and it brought back a lot of memories. Thank you for making it Zion.
3DS is one of the Nintendo features I miss most. I was in college when the 3DS came out. Streetpass encouraged me to bring my 3DS everywhere, and it motivated me to take daily walks around my campus and I’d usually get a few Streetpass hits each walk I went on. The Mii plaza games were also fun ways to use my 3DS when I wasn’t in the middle of playing through a particular game. It was also really fun to go to anime/gaming conventions with my 3DS and see how many people I could get.
I really hope they bring it back with the Switch successor in some way/shape/form.
