So it looks like it's been confirmed that Forever Entertainment SA is the developer behind the Donkey Kong Country Returns HD port and not Retro Studios in house like they did with Metroid Prime Remastered and Tropical Freeze Switch port.

Forever Entertainment has developed previous remakes of 3rd party games on Switch including Panzer Dragoon, House of the Dead 1 + 2, and Front Mission 1 + 2. What's interesting is that Nintendo signed a publishing deal with Forever Entertainment back in 2021 to help fund projects.

Nothing has come of it 1st party wise until now. So the question is will this be the only 1st party title Forever ports over for Nintendo or will there be more remasters/remakes of Nintendo titles by Forever to come in the future?

    1. Huh… Very surprising. Still wondering what happened to their Panzer Dragoon Zwei Remake that was supposed to launch in 2021

    2. Is this their first game to come out since that deal? I’m curious how long doing an HD port z or remaster not sure what this is, ACTUALLY takes..no way it took three years right ?

Very nice. It’s cool that Nintendo It’s coming for other studios to make these remasters, like they did with Tantalus Media and Twilight Princess/Skyward Sword remasters.

Hope they done a good job, i noticed some of the cutscenes are remade to add more details.

    4. Is it possible that they had them handling this remake/remaster so retro could maybe do a new donkey Kong? Just a thought.
