Electric Volt controller – are there different versions?

I went looking for another Electric Volt controller so I can have a matching pair at home, but every search result has a white back instead of the black back like mine? Did it change at some point? How do I find another black backed one, and why are they all popping up as white with the green joysticks? Are there different versions/iterations? I bought mine at GameStop originally
