Is this something I should look into getting fixed? Will it damage the console even further if I just turn off rumble and ignore it?

Same issue with ours. Doesn‘t bother me. If it gets worse I will fix it myself.

But more important: what is your opinion on this? Do you want to fix this or do you want to play without rumble feedback?

    2. The motors are probably fucked up or out of place, I would suggest disabling rumble and opening it up sometime to see what’s wrong with it

Motors got stuck or knocked around somehow. Turning off rumble, aka disabling the component that’s acting up, will not damage the gamepad…

    4. IMO you should disable the rumble entirety until you can open it up and see what’s going, right now.

This can damage the plastic structure (The squeaking sounds like the motor is in friction with the plastic) and might even damage the internals, if the rumble motor breaks loose inside the gamepad housing.

I had this with my gamepad. If you open it up put some lubricant on the rumble motor it fixes it. Ways easier to do then it sounds
