    FRIENDLY GHOSTS TURNED FIENDISH?
Sounds like a job for Luigi!

    1. I think the 3DS version was insanely under-rated, but I’m only getting the switch version because I have a voucher. Releasing it full price is silly.

It’s a shame because it’s a legitimately great game. The level design is SO charming, the animations are delightful, it really improves upon everything great in the first game. But it’ll never get the love it deserves, because now it’s “the expensive remake that they released instead of the first Luigi’s Mansion.”

IMO if it included the first LM, it’d be a no brainer.

Am I right in thinking that you can’t play the full campaign co-op like you can in LM3? If so I think I’ll pass on this one.

    3. Helpful_Resist3 on

I was wondering why it was $60 instead of like $40-$50. Lo and behold it’s the same Dev team that worked on Skyward Sword.

    4. You can get the game for $50 from Costco right now if you have a membership there.

    5. BootsWithDaFuhrer on

60 bucks for 16-17 hours of fun with my 4 year old son, worth it all day every day

    6. Nintendo should listen to our complaints and bundle this with the mario vs. donkey kong remake of a ds game. A 2 pack of nintendo games that are ds remakes for 60$ would make it seem a lot less overpriced .

    7. The price is a sticky issue, but I think it’s unfair for that to affect the game’s score. The quality of the game is separate from what Nintendo chose as its retail price. I hope none of the reviews used the price point as a negative in their scores.

    8. Honestly cant way to play it but no way in hell am I forking their price for that

    9. Asad_Farooqui on

Yeah I’m not paying $60 dollars for that. At least not right now. Same developers as Skyward Sword HD apparently, so at least we know the remaster job will be great. But no, I think I’ll hold off on this version until it goes on sale.

DKC Returns HD honestly looks so much more enticing to me, especially since it brings together the best of both worlds from the Wii and 3DS versions.

    10. Marco__Island on

My issue with this game is not the length, it’s that the gameplay get stale and repetitive after a few hours.

    11. $60 for a $40 3DS game is absurd. Nintendo can cut the price in half or keep it

    12. What with Nintendo releasing 3 on Oct 31st. After trick or treat with the kids I’m completely over Halloween. And this remaster in June. Where I would much rather be sailing the windwaker seas…..

    13. The Nintendo life review is the most amusing. The reviewer gives it an 8, but Alex’s opinion is far more blunt and critical of the whole thing.

    14. All these folk freaking out about the price. It’s 90$ in New Zealand even for online download just because.

    15. Apprehensive-Gur-609 on

Good thing I already played the 3ds version, 60 bucks for this is such a ripoff.

    16. A-Centrifugal-Force on

IGN giving Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD the same score they gave Xenoblade 3 is ridiculous. Such a joke of an organization. IGN, GameStop, and GameInformer cost Xenoblade 3 a 90 on Metacritic thanks to their lazy reviews.

    17. OfflineHomeLife on

I just want Coop in this game, like the First and third games! This game is a 4/10 for basic remake without features in previous games. So anyone who played the first remake on 3DS and the 3rd on Switch is getting the shaft hard on this decision. Nintendo pissed me off on this!

    18. walkingdisasterFJ on

If I loved the first Luigi’s Mansion and pretty meh on the 3rd one, is 2 worth playing? The price is not relevant for me, I’m strictly talking about the game itself

    19. Unable-Finance-2099 on

      Everything was swell
Until someone split the Dark Moon
Then something strange brought on a change

    20. Few-Independence3787 on

Interesting. I already played the original on 3DS so the only reason I’d get this is for the repopulated multiplayer modes.

I may be in the minority but I enjoyed 2/Dark Moon more than 3. Idk if its because I haven’t played alot of 3 but I got bored of it very quickly. At one point I got lost in the game so I moved on to other games. Does 3 get any better at the middle/end of the game? One day I would like to return to it. I loved the first and second game, it’s just the third one I find it hard to get back into.

Interesting, not a lot of 9’s but happy to see such positive reviews!

    22. DependentAnywhere135 on

They should have remade 1 not 2. No desire to slog through this game again especially not for $60.

    23. I_hate_potato on

This is the only LM game I’ve played and I really enjoyed it. I’m surprised people seem to not like it as much!
