    1. I thought this was a game about slavery at first (I still dont know what it’s about)

    2. I recently started playing this on steam deck. Can’t speak to the visuals or performance on Switch, but I’m very much enjoying the game

    3. It is a beautiful game, finished it on PS5 and it was a huge surprise for me. It was even in my Top3 GOTY that year 😀

    4. This game is on my list of “games that would be better without combat”. Definitely worth checking out though

    5. I got this game on switch and Im experiencing consistent crashes when trying to visit the first major area Aemoon.

I haven’t seen anyone mention crashes and only “small drops in fps” but Im noticing like 10 second freezes when I try do anything while the boat is moving. And then total game crashes in the same area.

Hoping this is addressed in a patch.

Loved Tchia on PS5, I hope the Switch version is able to keep up performance-wise. It’s not exactly top-tier graphics wise for a PS5 game, but the sky and ocean are breathtaking at times. Some pros: The music is incredible, and movement is a joy, especially when sliding and gliding over the forest hills and possessing birds (my only criticism is that jumping feels very floaty. You get used to it and it works in context, but at first it feels weird). The camera mechanic is the best I’ve personally seen in a game, and my only complaint is I wish you could hold more photos. The sense of humor is pretty great…good for kids but with a very faint dark streak that comes out at times. My main con is that they don’t give you much reason to participate in most of the challenges. That could be a pro or a con depending on how you feel (I 100%-ed the game in about 40h, I think? But I’m notoriously slow). I guess also some of the main quest challenges can be a little repetitive. But, they don’t overstay their welcome.

If you’re down for a lightweight open world game with a lot of joy and character, I definitely recommend this. It uses a different gaming philosophy throughout…have a good time , do what feels good, watch a sunset while sailing, dive off a building and do some flips, play your ukulele, pick up a dog and stow it in your backpack. If you’re expecting it to be a challenging 100+ hour open world with a lot of quests to occupy your time, you may be disappointed.
