I was wondering if anyone knew a possible fix for my problem. I haven’t used my Wii U since Smash 4 came out and tried booting it up today so that I could mod it. There’s a solid red light on the front of my console and it won’t turn blue after pressing the power button. The fan at the back still spins when the power button is pressed but nothing else happens afterwards. All the power cables I’ve used are the ones that originally came with the console.

This sounds like a very bad nand issue.

Not using the system is the best way to break the system. The system’s NAND memory needs to be powered on from time to time for the cells to recharge. Look up Wii U NAND repair to see your options. I think the current method requires a raspberry pi
your wii u is pretty much dead. since the nand doesn’t boot up anymore.
