Should be alright… It’s only the Hynix NANDs that have a statistically higher failure rate.

My Wii U has a Samsung NAND.

Manufacturer is what determines a bad NAND. You’re safe. If you got Toshiba or Samsung (unsure) then you’re golden. Hynix is the endangered NAND

All NAND will eventually fail, but yeah, Hynix are the only ones likely to fail any time in the next couple decades.

FYI, they all will die. A couple of Samsung and Toshiba has died but more rare. Toshiba being the least dead amount

You don’t have the one that’s extremely prone to failure. That being said you should make sure you have a NAND backup stored somewhere safe anyway since all NAND will eventually fail. We now have ways to replace the dead NAND so it’s at least repairable (as long as you have the backup and some soldering skills/know a person who can solder) at the cost of any change in save data stored in the NAND since the backup.
