    Bought the Nintendo World Championship NES Deluxe Edition today

    First post here… thank you in advance.
    I happened to go to a local target and saw this on the shelves already. I thought this was supposed to come out on 7/18 but they let me purchase it without any issues. Would my Switch become bricked if I were to play it right now?

      Dude no you won’t get banned or bricked. Absolutely no worries there. Let us know how it is! I’m interested in this game. I loved the 3ds version!

      For some reason i expected there to be more than 13 games but maybe that just sounds like a smaller number to me than it is

      Play it and have fun! The only thing I could see them doing prior to launch day is wiping the leaderboards. I’m just speculating though.

      It won’t brick your switch. I’d turn airplane mode on when playing it though just so it doesn’t do weird things. Nintendo might notice a random guy getting top scores on all the leaderboards lol. Idk what they’d do then.

      Wow 10 days before release. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone get a game that early that didn’t have an early access release.

      Whoa Target doesn’t sell things that break street date early.

      I have tried to buy Transformers at Target and the register wouldn’t scan them because it was a day before they were supposed to be released. I had an employee literally snatch Thundercracker out of my hands and tell me it can’t be sold and walked away with it. No one else including the manger would help me even through it was their fault for stocking it. So I have huge doubts that OP bought the game at Target.

      No, your Switch won’t get bricked and you won’t get banned. You can play the game as much as you want.

      Many people buy and play games before the official release date, that’s pretty common. I’ve done that a few times.

      I got my N64 two days early back in ’96 when I went to Montgomery Wards with my mom and asked the electronics employee if they were going to sell it. She said she thought she saw some in the back and, bam, I was playing Super Mario 64 two days early.

      I once went to pick up my pre-order of Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD 4 days after release and the person working at the store had to check that the game had officially released before giving it to me.

      I don’t know how you guys get this past the register. I remember that I found the 25th anniversary Mario game for the Wii early at Target. It was denied at the register because of the release date, wouldn’t let the cashier scan it in.
