Some Star Wars Outlaws Planets Can Be Crossed in 4 or 5 Minutes on a Speeder

How fast is the speeder? Because those things ripped in the ROTJ.

But il be honest, most planets are boring. Even planets like tatooine, wtf is there besides mos eisley and uncle owens house? Same with endor. Its all big ass trees. If a planet has nothing to offer the player besides a main city/hotspot, and maybe a few side areas, thats fine with me. Can you imagine how fucking boring exploring an entire planet would be? It would be almost certainly procedurally generated and dull. The technology is not there yet to make exploring a planet exciting. Even a game like Microsoft Flight Sim, which has the entire photogrammetry of the earth, absolutely shits the bed if you get too close, and things look like mud.

Considering how slowly the “speeder” moves in the gameplay videos, I don’t think this is a good sign.

I’d rather have a planet be too small than too big. Don’t want a Starfield situation. If you have a bunch of planets, having some of them, or even all of them, be on the smaller side is fine.

Good, contrary to Bethesda’s belief I don’t actually want to play “explore the moon simulator”

Considering how empty and open a lot of Ubisoft worlds are (and how awful 95% of Starfield planets were) I see this as a good thing.

Not every planet needs to be a big, sprawling open area with 220 “?”s littering the map.

That means absolutely fuck all. Are those smaller planets compared to others? Bigger? Are they content dense? If I put a speedster in Starfield, I bet I could also cross most of its planets quickly, but they’re all boring. This is a nothingburger.

Long travel times are the reason I stopped playing open world games. I have too little time for games and I don’t wanna spend it holding down sprint or the gas pedal.

    8. Glad some games are reverting back from the whole “look how big this map is”. Give me games with a focused open-ish world with all areas being meaningful.

Ain’t that’s what speeders are designed for Or else they’d call them walkers lol
