Straw Harvest Pack / FS25 crossplay DLC / FREE
Looney Guy here and this is the Straw Harvest pack by Creative Mesh on Farming Simulator 25. It’s for all platforms, PC, Mac, and console. I’m on PS5 and this was uh if you’re looking how to download this actually need to go onto your main um your your your main menu on your PlayStation and when you go to your game, you scroll down. So, when you go I can’t show it right now because I won’t show it if I’m on my game, but um you it’s free, but it’s a DLC. You purchase it purchase it like you would any other DLC. It was pretty easy. Once you download it, it’s automatically available. And uh here it is in my mods and DLCs. I have a couple of other just uh mods to help me out with this test. But basically, this is it. And uh these are the items uh the purchasable items. We have some placeables as well. So we have some pickups or the um grabs that I will demonstrate. We have the three um two bailers and a pelletizer. We have a bail shredder. And then we have bail twine, round bale net, and molasses. Now there is there is a um I want to say an issue with this one. Um important if well we’ll talk about that but there is uh a slight issue with the square bor. All right placeables. Let’s start with sheds. And I don’t believe no there’s nothing under sheds. It’s going to be silo has a couple of buildings and they’re over here. These are just sheds without any factory in them. We’ll take a look at those later. Nothing else up here. We have factories. That’s where we have the two factories. And uh we have the um this is not a pelletizer. This is a bagging factory. So it uh takes your pellets and it puts them onto pallets. So it’s a palletizer, not a pelletizer. And then we have a pellet heat plant that takes wood chips and pellets. And let’s see this one. It’s odd that it’s in a factory. It’s not got going to show up in your factories if you’re wondering where it all is. And then we also have we also have a sell point right here. $500. And it’s actually advantageous to put down this cell point. You will get uh you will get extra for that. Now, one thing I did forget to test which I will remember right now is will the pellets um will the pellets um accept the will the straw will a straw pellets be accepted as straw in a barn? Uh you know what? We’re going to do a pig barn cuz that’s that’s easier. And they all take straw, I believe. Uh let’s just do a No, I don’t need a pasture. Should have set this up before. Okay, there we go. There’s a small small pig barn that we can test. All right, sorry about that. All right, let’s get into it. Let’s start with the bailers. And if you’re using, let’s start with the uh the square balor. And uh we’re just going to all look at them under the downloadable content because that’s where everything is instead of trying to look for everything. So configuration standard or bail collect. It’s pretty much the same as the base game one except um yeah. So, when you’re buying this balor, um, if you go with empty, it’s not going to work actually, even if you fill it with bail twine. This is the issue we’re having with, uh, this on PlayStation at least. Uh, so make sure you go with the twine, the crone excellent twine, cuz if you go with the empty, well, we’ll show you. Um, actually, you know what? I I I recon No, I didn’t reconfigure. I did reconfigure the There we go. This one. So, this one I filled. Oh, yes, we we do get um we do get pallets. Uh so there is also pallets. There’s a square bail twine which well apparently doesn’t work with at least not with this the bor that comes with it. Round bail net and molasses. Molasses is necessary for making pellets. Hay and straw pellets. All right. So I bought this one without twine. I filled it with twine with the pack. And um we will show you. We’ll come over here to the hay. I got some hay on the ground here. And turn it on. Drive forward. It will not pick up any hay. Uh, apparently this is known a known issue. So, if uh I thought I’d address that right off the bat. So, what do you do? Well, you have to buy the um square bor that already has the the um twine attached. Now, of course, you can use other bailers. You don’t have to use this bor. And as a matter of fact, I would suggest you not to use this bor right now until it gets fixed because I don’t think you’ll be able to use it after it runs out of twine after the first purchase. cuz I filled this with twine from a pallet and I also did the um bought the twine, you can you can automatically fill it. But this one once you have um bought it with prefilled twine, it works. So there it is. It’s working. However, it needs an update. Uh, fortunately, that’s the only one that I’ve found so far that’s not working as it should or properly. And let’s just go ahead and dump these bales out here because we’re going to need these later. So, that’s the square balor issue. Um, you can use other square bailers. It’s not going to be a problem. So, I would suggest you um use a different square balor. They all they will all work. These are just the bailers that came with it. Round balor. Round balor is pretty much straight up a round balor. You can preload it or uh you can go with empty and refill it from the pallet as I did and it works just fine. Let’s just spin over. Oh, let’s finish up this hay. Oh, I’m going to leave that hay there because we want to test out the pelletizer. But here’s some straw over here. And oh, there we go. Uh, also, I’m not sure if this is available for all the bailers, but uh you can have uh Oh, why is it not saying steering assist is not available? That’s interesting. Oh, string assist is not available for the round balor. It is for the square bor. That’s interesting. All right. So, there’s the uh yeah, it’s nothing nothing special about the round. Nothing special with the the two bailers except one of them actually doesn’t work very well. All right, let’s get down to the the the the nitty-gritty of it, shall we? The pellets and the pelletizer. And there it is, the straw harvest, the Primos 5000. As far as options go, yeah, not much. license plate or wheel brands. So, how does it work? So, as you can see, we have water and molasses. The molasses loaded up from the pellet or pallet, not pellet, pallet. There’s still a little bit left here. Let’s just go over here and take a quick look at them. Here’s the molasses. That’s what it looks like. None of these pallets are liftable. All right, we will show how to um use the shredder in a moment. Let’s go make some hay pellets with hay. So, it works just like a um a bor except it doesn’t make bales. It picks up the hay. And here we go. Let’s look closely enough. You can see there we go. Little hay pellets. [Music] And that’s all the hay we have. All right. So, we’ve made a little bit of hay pellets. Not a lot. We have L1 an open cover. Now, that is the little ladder in the back. And this is pipe out. You’re going to need the pipe out. And uh let’s see. We can adjust the pipe height. Very nice. And that’s it there. So, uh, we can go ahead and straight up I’m pretty sure we can go ahead and straight up and just sell the pellets directly. Yes, there we go. At our cell point. There we go. Hey, pellets. There they go. Now, 1490. That’s pretty good. We almost had 1,000 LERs there. How much are they worth? Well, we have down here. We’re going to find straw pellets first. I don’t know. There it is. The hay pellets. Hay pellets are actually u you do get a a really decent bonus by using the pellet cell point or pallet pallet cell point pallet. Pallet pallet pallet. As you can see here, it’s nearly uh nearly double as opposed to hay is $186. Um, you can sell the pellets. Now, we’ll talk about the palletizer in a moment. Where did I miss it? I missed the straw. Where’s the straw? Missed it again. Straw pellets again. $1,000 per thousand lers. All right. Straw works just the same. It’s very easy to make pellets. Now, once we’ve get We’ll make some pellets here. Uh water water I just filled up from the base game. water um a water point, a bypoint, any water by point will work. And um we should fill up this uh the pellets here in short order. [Music] It doesn’t take long to to to fill um a load of pellets. So, I’m going to work my way through this and I’m going to fill this up. All right. Now that we’ve had um have a full load of taw pellets, we bring ourselves to the palletizer, which is this. And now we showed you that already, but we’ll show it to you again in here. Now, again, that you have options. You could sell the pellets directly. Uh, we can check out the heat plant in a moment, but I think everybody’s wanting to see the palletizer or the pellet hall palletizer, which is this. Do we have options? Yes, we have a solar panel and we have color options for the the siding. All right. Uh we have if you recall from previous incarnations of this we have uh let’s see enter vehicle. There we go. It’s a vehicle. Now this there we go. R1 up and down left and right. You kind of want to be on this side because that’s how the So what is this for? Great question. Uh, let’s see. How do we open up? Oh, open up. There we go. Right stick. Open up. So, let’s cut out. Um, you have the option of just dumping your pellets in these holding areas because uh this hopper fills up. It doesn’t have an unlimited capacity. So, you can dump your pellets over here and pick it up with that and then dump the pellets into here if you want. But we’re going to bypass that option and we’re just going to go ahead uh go right in here. It’s a bit tight, a bit of a tight spot. Now, these yellow markers, that’s just showing you where you should be parking your uh pelletizer. And let’s get back in there nicely. We’re going to have to straighten it out. Um, so this is one way of doing it. And let’s go ahead and pipe out. And when that pipe out goes there, uh, we’re stuck. [Music] There we go. Oh, it’s got steering. It’s got steerable wheel. The wheels steer on this thing and it makes it There we go. So, there we go. See that? We are Oh, let’s get over there. We’re loading pellets into here now. And it all it works automatically. You don’t have to turn it on or anything. You just pour the pellets in. And there they are. How much how much does it actually hold? holds quite a bit. I think right now it’s um just adding pellets as it uses it up to make the bags. Now, this is interesting. Uh, you don’t have to refill anything with the bags. You don’t have to restock the the pallets it uses. It’s kind of all it’s all uh built in. It’s all one thing. So, there’s it made a pallet. Now, it’s going to go over here and oh, it doesn’t even show the wrapping animation. It just automatically wraps it. They are not liftable, unfortunately. Uh, apparently that Yeah. Um we won’t going to we’re not going to be able to see a liftable um yeah for other reasons. Uh nice to see the uh today’s output 91 bags, two pallets supply lasts for another 11 minutes. So it’s pretty quick. Uh it’s only going to take 11 minutes to empty this out. So it works pretty quick. Um, we’re going to grab these a little bit later and sell them. So, that’s not the only thing you can do with this. Let’s pipe in. So, you can we’re going to show you how the bail shredder works and you can set this thing up permanently in there. So, here’s the bail shredder. Notice the arrow. And if I haven’t showed you that yet, there it is. There’s no options or anything. What this is, well, it’s an attachment to the pelletizer. And let’s go around this way, cuz it attaches to the right side. And you’ll see why this is kind of entirely designed for this factory here. So, there we go. As we pull up, you should see it. There it is. See that? Now, we attach it. And it goes like thus. All right. Now, we need to go back in there. Um, why? Okay. Let’s uh unfold the bail shredder. We’ll show you why. You can use this out here, too, if you want to do that. and just load pellets into a trailer. That’s also possible. I do believe we have trailers that will work. All right. So, there it is. That’s it. That’s how it’s set up. Actually, you know what? Let’s go ahead and Oh, I have some Let’s um Well, you know what? Let’s try out one of the bail handling equipment here that comes with this pack. It’s all in one pack basically except hopefully they will uh fix that um the square balor cuz that’s a bit annoying. You don’t have to use a square bor as I said though. All right, let’s go ahead and grab um let’s grab straw bail because that’s what we would have been doing. Okay, straw bale. Let’s see if we can get this. Oo, it’s heavy. Okay, if I recall, this uh thing doesn’t work particularly speedy. Okay, let’s get it on there. There we go. And turn on. There we go. Oh, yeah. Can we Oh, can we move it along a little faster here? Move it along a little faster, will you? Oh, I think I’ve actually impeded its progress. Right. Okay. Well, let’s let’s get in and watch the watch the progress. Watch the process. So, it’s showing the straw. So, it has straw. See? So, now it’s showing that we have 8250 L of straw on that bail. Let’s see. When’s that? Oh, is it is it going to start start making what point is it going to start making pellets? Oh, I see movement here. There we go. It’s starting to chew away on the uh There we go. Nice. Okay. So, how many pellets do we get from a bail of straw? All right. So, 8250 L bail of straw gives us 24,042 L of pellets. So, you’re not getting equal in, equal out as as you would expect because a straw bale uh by volume there’s a lot of space in between. It’s not it’s it’s not compacted, right? To to down to um as compact as you can get it, if that makes sense. Uh straw pellets are a very highly compacted version of straw. Now, there we go. Let’s unfold it again. Let’s see if we can get this set up properly here. And let’s see. Um, we might have should have piped out. Uh, let’s see if we can screw this up now with the Oh, yes. Okay. Well, we can still still move around a little bit. There we go. there. Now, um, let’s get this out of the way a little bit. Okay, there it’s working. You’re going to need to keep your tractor running. How do you keep your tractor running? Excellent question. In your settings, and I believe it’s game settings, vehicle control, uh, automatic engine start, you want that off. Got it. Okay. I get asked that quite often actually. Okay, now that we’ve got uh it all set up here and we’re making is it Oh, we are full. All right, let me uh so that that was our Yeah, let me grab some forks and we’ll come back and sell a pellet or a pallet. All right, since we’re here, I thought I’d see if the uh if the liftable bales also work and they do. Excellent. All right. So if you are using liftable bales or creating liftable bales, those also work. All right, here we are. Let’s grab a pallet of pellets. See if I can line this up. There we go. straw pallets. 2,000 per. So, there you go. There’s 2,000 L in a pallet. Let’s uh let’s put some in the heating plant. And does the heating plant Oh, heating plant does not seem to accept No, it will not accept pouts, only loose. And uh there we go. $2143. Now that’s the straw. So, guess we’re going to have to get some uh Well, it does take wood chips as well, but I wanted to take Can we put this Can we dump these into a trailer? Will it uh will they reanimate as Nope. Once they’re in a pallet, that’s it. All right. Interesting. So, you can’t go ahead and use these. These are just um quite honestly, you you don’t need Well, here’s the thing. If you want to sell the pellets as soon as you make them, you can either do it in the uh heat fat heating um what’s it called? The pellet heat plant, which we don’t have any straw pellets in there yet. And that’s the recipe. Thousand straw pellets, 600 electric charge. It will not take hay or you can sell it directly. So, um, let’s put that away and make let’s just shred a, uh, bail. There we go. Let’s make some pal pellets. Are we? There we go. All right. I’m going to make some pellets. And then Oh, kind of a There we go. Look at that. This the uh the straw is getting shredded and and and put into there. That’s kind of neat. And there’s the process or somewhat the process of pressing the pellets. So once we’re done here, we’re going to go put some in the heat plant. All right, we’ve made some more pellets. Let’s see if we can put them into our heating plant. And there we go. Very nice. Let’s go ahead and turn that on. There’s um one thing I forgot to show. And let’s go ahead and unfold this. Again, there’s a couple of adjustments which make this a little bit more user friendly once it’s unfolded. All right. So, L1 and right stick, we can adjust those to level it. R1, we can adjust the ends to also level that if it’s on an uneven surface. And L1 and R1, we can extend that out a little bit. Um, yeah, once that’s all done. So, that’s it for Oh, we were going to test. Right. We’re going to try out. Let’s see. Uh well, it takes a round bail, which seems curious to me as the round balor came with this because um now I I almost forgot that we’re going to test out to see if the um a pig barn will take um pellets and straw cuz that would be uh wa Boom. Back it up. Back it up. Okay. Now, this might take a while. So, round bales not supported. Okay. Well, why why would you have round baler included in this if you couldn’t shred the bail to make pellets? Unless there’s some other way. I don’t see any others. No, that’s weird. Okay. Um I’m going to make some more pellets. All right, here we go. Pig pig pen with pigs in it. Will it take the pellets? Yes, it will take straw pellets as straw. Now forward forward. Um we had uh one bail which was what was it? Well, you seen the 2,000 L of pellets will convert to what survey says? Uh 8,000. Okay. So, you see that it almost uh yeah, it converts back into uh bail size when you put it into an animal pen. Interesting. All right. Well, we have one more test. And it’s we’re going to put down a sheep barn because sheep will eat hay. And not that one. Let’s go with this one. There we go. So, we’re going to see if the sheep barn will accept hay pellets. All right, we Let’s lower that down. Let’s see if she takes hay pellets for the sheep. And they do. Excellent. All right. So, what’s next? Oh, um, we’re going to test. We got 2,000 lers of straw pellets. Um income, property income. Well, right now we get we’re getting $63,000. I don’t know where we’re getting the $63,000. Oh, that’s Did I Did I put solar panels on one of these? Yeah, we got solar panels on one of these. So, actually, you know what? Let’s go look at the one with solar panels and then I’m going to delete it because I don’t want to have anything. Oh, this is the this is a bail and pallet storage, right? So, we do have uh do we have a light switch? Open storage. We don’t have anything in there right now. Thousand bales and pallets. Interesting. Let’s go grab Oh, going to have to grab a bail. There we go. All right, that works. It’s in there. We can’t go in there. Thought we had a light switch in here somewhere. Oh, over here. Ah, there we go. Turn on lights. Right. Okay. Uh, let’s take it out. Where is it going to go? Right here. Excellent. All right. Let’s uh get rid of this. And the other shed that we showed is basically everything that the pallet factory has except without the pallet stuff. So, we have the crane and the bunkers, but it doesn’t have the factory part. All right, let’s just just uh get rid of that, too. All right, I think the only thing we have less left now is to test out our income on the u factory here. Straw pellets storing electric charge. We go. Can’t we cannot change output mode? Yeah, it’s just going to give us well 600 electric charge 24 per 24 cycles. All right. Well, let’s see what happens. All right. So, I believe I got a notification saying $34,000. Yeah. Sold products. No. Harvest income. Yeah. So, is this now I’m going to have to run it a few more months. See, it’s out of straw pellets. So, looking at my income, as I said, I don’t know where I’m getting the income from before, but we’re going to run it a few more months and see if there was a spike. All right. Um, I didn’t get any increase in income. So, what I’m going to do now is I’m going to fill it with wood chips and see if wood chips are going to give me any income. That’s kind of weird. All right, so I had put in 18 just over 18,000 lers of of wood chips and it chewed them up in a month. How is our finances? Did it actually give us any more money? No, I don’t know where the money is going. It’s eating our stuff. Oh, wait a minute. Here it is. Bio gas plant income. Ah, we don’t have a bio gas plant. That’s where it’s going. Nice. Okay, so it is working. It’s just working with uh it’s showing up as bio gas plant income. All right. Well, not property income. Interesting. All right. Uh I think that’s it.
