WWE 2K26 Roster News, TNA Crossover, MyFaction Update & RetroMania DLC News! (Wrestling Game News)
In this roundup of wrestling game news, we have new updates on WWE 2K26. Well, latest deals coming out of 2K’s investor earnings report, a WWE Hall of Famers spoken on the potential for the addition to the roster. We have details of a new Summer Series event that’s happening in my faction. Plus, we’re also talking the TNA crossover and rumors of TNA stars being scanned at SummerSlam. While in other news, we also have an update on next month’s DLC release for Retromania Wrestling. Before we get into any of Kicking off this update, we’re starting out with details of the upcoming DLC content for Retromania Wrestling as Retrooft team leads revealed that the new update is being submitted to stores for approval ahead of its upcoming release on September 13th. Content included in the new Legends DLC pack sees the addition of six new playable characters. Those including the Macho Man Randy Savage, Magnum TA, Demolition’s Ax, and Smash and the Rock and Roll Express’s Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson. In addition to those names, speaking in a video update on Patreon, Mike also teased another star that’s close to signing with announcements set to take place in the coming days with a star then set to appear at September’s Retrocon event. Alongside the new playable characters, the update set to include two to three new arenas, new championships, and even some brand new game modes. As the update set to add a new house show feature, which works in a similar manner to the create a pay-per-view feature in the older WWE games. The house show mode allows players to customize the card for the house show and play through the matches or compete in a tournament mode which challenges players to win the first match on the card and then progress on to the next one with the aim being to win all matches and complete the show. Though if you lose it’s game over and you’ll have to start again. Each match on the card is set to feature unique stipulations with a score system also built in that sees players scored for their efforts which is then recorded on the in-game scoreboard. For players seeking customization options, the update also looks to add a new option that allows players to customize each character’s sprites and update the color of their attire, which you can then save and load into matches. If you’re interested in picking up the DLC, it’s currently planned for release on September 13th for just $9.99. Up next, let’s talk WWE 2K26. As earlier this week, 2K held their quarterly earnings call where it was revealed that the game is progressing as planned and still listed for release in fiscal 2026, which for 2K Sports is the period that leads up to March 31st. Speaking on the upcoming release, president of Take 2, Carl Slatov, stated the following. Later this fiscal year, 2K and Visual Concepts will once again challenge players to step inside the squared circle with WWE 2K26, the fourthcoming installment in our popular wrestling franchise that continues to set new standards for excellence with each release. 2K will have more to say about the game in the coming months. In addition to 2K26, the earnings report also referenced the upcoming release of WWE 2K Mobile, which was announced earlier this year as part of a partnership with Netflix Games. While news surrounding the game has been silent since the announcement, the game appears to be on course to release later this year as the lineup of announced games continues to list it for release in fall 2025, meaning if all things go to plan, it should be out within the next 4 months. Meanwhile, back in 2K25, 2K have announced a new summer series event in My Faction, which is set to reward players with increased daily login rewards along with a weekly 5-day reward that offers up a specific card when logging in for five out of seven days. The new login rewards can be claimed when logging in between August 11th to September 9th, where players will receive 1,000 MFP on Mondays. Two Faction Wars tickets on Tuesdays, 1,500 MFP on Wednesday, the Superstar Series 3 pack on Thursdays, 3,000 MFP on Fridays, and 40 tokens on Saturday. Then when logging in on Sundays, you’ll be granted a free card pack with week one featuring a SummerSlam Volume 1 pack, week two, Summerslam Volume 2, week three a new heatwave pack, and week four SummerSlam Volume 1. In addition to these rewards, if you log in for five out of the seven days, you’ll also unlock an Amethyst Lyra Valkyia card in week one, an Amethyst Eddie Guerrero card in week two, a diamond Tiffany Stratton in week three, and a Diamond Uncle Howdy in week four. So, if you’re still playing my faction or you just want to log in to get the rewards, these will run daily until September 9th. Going back to WWE 2K26, one name that pops up yearly is that of Tory Wilson, who we’ve not seen featured in the series since Smackdown versus Raw 2008. As following her induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019, it was assumed that we’d see Tory added to the game as a new legend. Though so far, that’s not happened. Now providing an update on his status during an interview with Matt Black of wrestle.com. Tori was asked if she’d been contacted by 2K regarding a future appearance with Tori stating the following. They have not. For the longest time, I kind of like didn’t really pay attention to it, right? Never expected it, but then when I wasn’t in when I was in the Hall of Fame, I was like, okay, that kind of sucks, but whatever. She continued, “It wasn’t until this year when I finally asked someone at WWE like how come. So hopefully fingers crossed next year.” Matt followed up the question by pointing out how much support there is for the likes of Tori and Kelly Kelly as both stars appear yearly as two of the most requested legends to which Tori responded that she’s asked the question. So let’s wait and see what happens. Staying with Legends news, there’s been a lot of talk about the potential for a TNA crossover next year with many fans seeing the inclusion of Abyss in the Duncan Destruction pack as we’re testing the water over the inclusion of other TNA legends. There’s also a lot of talk regarding the potential for a current TNA pack featuring the likes of Joe Henry and Masha Slamovic as given the ongoing relationship between WWE and TNA stars appearing on each of the shows on a weekly basis and TNA’s main titles currently in the possession of NXT’s Trick Williams and JC Jane. It’ make a lot of sense to bring that to 2K26. While that may be a possibility, the crossover with TNA has also opened the doors for former names that are now under contract with TNA. Well, latest rumors teasing the inclusion of the Hardy Boys, who we seen make an appearance in the crowd ahead of the tag team match at SummerSlam. Potentially backing up those rumors is news that 2K were also in attendance for the event where it’s speculated that there were backstage scanning talent for 2K 26. Adding to the speculation, the WWE game social accounts went on share posts from WWE highlighting the Hardy’s appearance, potentially hinting at something for the future. The potential inclusion of the Hardies or any TA talent in 2K26 is pure speculation at this point as given that there’s still a few months until promotion begins. There’s been no official word on the game other than that it’s in development as promotion is generally held back until January. Should the Hardies be involved, it no doubt proved to be a popular decision as both Matt and Jeff continue to be two of the most downloaded characters from community creations. So, it’ make a lot of sense if there’s the possibility to include TNA stars as the Hardy Boys would be two names that high up on that list. So, that’s your latest roundup of wrestling game news. Let me know what you make of it in the comments along with your predictions for 2K26, whether you think we’ll see Tori or the Hardies make the cut. In the meantime, if you missed the previous video, I’ll leave a link to that on screen. Thank you so much for watching this video. Have yourself an awesome day and I’ll catch you later.
