I suffered through every Dark Souls 2 DLC
So, I started playing Dark Souls II a really long time ago, and it’s taken me a while to get here. But recently, I finished the base game, and today I’m going to be playing through every single DLC. So, if you enjoy watching me suffer and lose my mind, stick around because there’s going to be plenty of that. Now, I did try to access some of these before and the game didn’t let me. At some point, I must have unlocked something that lets me play the DLC’s, but it’s still closed. No, wait. This isn’t right. Sorry everyone. Just had some technical difficulties that I needed to take care of, but we’re here now. Just heard something growling. There’s something nasty down here. Something that I probably don’t want to meet. Damn, look at this place. This is insane. I guess I’m trying to get to that pyramid over there. Going to be quite the journey. Oh [ __ ] Scared the [ __ ] Jesus out of me. Who is this? Well, at least we know what was growling. I guess I’ll be seeing you in a bit. That tends to happen in these DLCs. The first nasty surprise of the DLC was a dragon. The second is how many archers you’ve got shooting at you. Hello. Oh, [ __ ] The flanking maneuver. That was crazy. Okay. Okay. Something else is moving. This thing’s moving. Interesting. This doesn’t make any sense to me. Ow. Why is there another archer? Where did you come from? Ew. Go away. Be gone, foul creature. [ __ ] Well, that’s not how I imagined my first death in the DLC, to be honest. Just look at this thing. Who thought this was a good idea? The man responsible for this needs to have his brain studied for science. You know, if they put as much effort into the last few bosses of the base game as they did into this area, then they might not have had such a disappointing final act. I should probably I’m going to kill that [ __ ] You see him there? He’s going to die. Okay. I knew I’d be seeing this dragon again. Oh, kill the enemies. Thank you. A friendly dragon, huh, I can dig that. Yeah, this doesn’t seem good. This doesn’t actually seem like a kind of place that you want to go. Dragon’s Sanctum. Nice. That’s some beautiful singing. Maybe this area won’t be so bad. What the [ __ ] There’s ghosts here. I can’t hit them. I can’t hit the ghosts. What is this? Huh? What kind of fight is this? Wait, wait a sec. Is this them? Is that the go? Yeah. Okay, I can hit him now. I’ve caught on to your trick. You can’t deceive me any longer. Okay. Yeah, you got cool weapons. You got better armor. Oh, I’m way out of my depth here. Oh, man. How many of these guys am I going to have to kill? He’s got a boss move set. It’s ridiculous. This guy would have kicked Nandra’s ass. Oh, I’ll take this over the ghost, guys. Oh man, he’s stinky. He hasn’t showered in so long that if I go near him, I get poison damage off him. He must be a Discord mod. Excuse me. The [ __ ] was that about? We might finally make it to my first boss. I hope you’re all ready to see a master class. This bus looks like Nandra, but with a better design. We had Nandra and now we’ve got the cooler Nandra. Okay, Elana the squalid queen. I like your weapon. That looks cool. I want it. Give me that. Okay. Okay. This is a real boss. I think I uh I got a bit comfortable at the end of the base game cuz I had a few easy bosses back to back, but Elana looks like a real one. What? Vela, how did you get here, bud? It’s kind of a a handful to take care of, isn’t it? Elana, come on. Could you call off? This is done. I fought him already. It was fine. I had fun doing it. I don’t need to do it again. She’s cheating. You can’t summon another boss. I’ll start. I hope you don’t mind if I just ignore you. I can’t believe that. I can’t believe you’ve done this. Is this Val start again? Really? You can’t just have a straight fight. This is something else. It’s a bunch of skeletons. Okay, sure. Elana, stop it. Pick one. You either want to fight me or you want me to fight these guys. I think she’s just trying to flex. She knows she’s got a cool move set. She’s trying to use as much of it as she can. Okay, she’s less than half health. Surely she can’t summon too many more times. She doesn’t have that many. No, she’s doing it again straight away. Oh my god. Do you not get embarrassed summoning all the time? She’s going to summon one more time before this. Oh man, it’s risky fighting her straight up, isn’t it? She does a lot more damage than I realized. I’m going to keep one skeleton alive. That should stop her from summoning any more, right? I should use my dragon killing twin blade. Can’t go wrong with old reliable. There’s no There’s no dragon. Wait, I heard something. Oh, it was right there. How did I not see that? Damn, that’s a big boy. It’s a big boy. Sin the slumbering dragon. Is this the same dragon as earlier? The one that killed those dudes on the bridge? If so, we shouldn’t be fighting. We’re on the same team. Ow. Nice and steady, Sin. Take it easy there, pal. That’s not the kind of easy I had in mind. Is that poison or something else? It’s something. It’s something. All right. Now, considering I defeated the ancient dragon, I don’t think the slumbering dragon’s going to be any problem. Let’s put him back to sleep, shall we? Dude does not even know what’s going on. How did I avoid his actual attacks and then just got hit by nothing in the end? I’m not going to lie. There’s a fair bit of running. Not the biggest fan of that. And he does just keep flying over me and I have to go chasing after him, but it’s fine. Once he lands here, we can go to work again. And I only need a couple Oh god, that was bad. That was really bad. I only need a couple more openings and I will have him. Just going to pop a life gem while I’m standing under his ass. You know what? as far as dragon fights go. And I’m not a fan of dragon fights. This one I was going to say was pretty fun, but then he did that and I changed my mind. My weapons at risk. I only need one hit. Oh god, that’s bad. That was too close. Things were starting to look a bit dangerous there. Examine Crown of the Sun King. That’s the name of this DLC. A faint heat lingers in the ancient crown. H interesting. Well, I found out what an ashen idol is pretty quick. What do I get? Soul of Nadalia, bride of ash. Easiest boss solo I ever got. Huh? I was kind of expecting some enemies, but we got some skinny guys with their butts hanging out. Hey, where are you guys taking these things? Bring those back here right now. I want to see what’s in them. [ __ ] idiots. Why did they do that again, boys? Really? Have you ever thought about moving these barrels away from the fire? Everyone in here is stupid. [Music] Kyestas plus 8. What an insane weapon. I’m going to be rocking this. You there. Would you like to catch these hands? It’ll be a great honor for you. Hell no. Oh, yeah. No, that’s fine. I’ll find someone else. Yeah. I’m not so sure about this. I think this weapon might just be kind of bad. I can fist booty holes with it, though. That’s pretty neat. I’m not sure if he’s even feeling this. It’s like a mosquito stinging an elephant. I’ve decided that I’m going to play the rest of the DLC with this weapon, even though half the attacks don’t connect. This is now a challenge run. Oh my god, why are there so many of you all of a sudden? Please, one at a time. This weapon doesn’t do well with big groups. Fight back. Fight back. [ __ ] me. I can’t even hit them with half my attacks. Oh boy. The enemies in this area really don’t like being here, do they? Okay, now we’re talking. I don’t know what I just did, but I know it was big. Huge things are happening here today, boys. Oh man, why do they keep making me fight these dudes? You know how horrible it is with this weapon? It barely does any damage and it doesn’t connect half the time. Oh god. Oh god. Please just die. There’s another one. I’ve been working through this area for so long and all I found is these [ __ ] guys. Just give me the boss. Are you [ __ ] kidding? He’s a foot in front of me. Just hit him. It’s fine. It’s fine. I actually really like those guys. They’re good friends of mine. And this is why Dark Souls 2 is the worst game ever created. That was very funny game. I hope you’re happy with yourself. No more. I will not abide by this any longer. Oh [ __ ] Oh my god. Still going. Okay, I lived. Whoa. Okay, of course it’s one of you down here. Oh man, it’s getting uncomfortable down here. How do I get out of this? Oh my god. This is it. This is the actual fog gate. This has to be the boss. But the last bonfire was so far away. There’s got to be another one somewhere. There’s got to be a hidden bonfire. Don’t do this game. Don’t you even think about it. I am not fighting that guy. Unfortunately, I am just going to have to go for it. Now, I know this is a bad idea. I know this is going to be terrible. Is this snow or is it all ash lying around everywhere? Oh, okay. Something’s happening. Holy fume night. This is going to be so bad. This is going to suck. And the runback is probably the worst one in the whole game. I’m just going to have to first try it. I think I did get close. Uh, turns out I may have just been somewhat of a fool and I should have checked both sides. I see that now. Probably could have saved myself a bit of pain if I hadn’t been so impatient. I’ve taken out all those weird statues around the area because I think those were helping him. Those tend to buff enemies, don’t they? So, now that they’re gone, I think I can deal with this guy. He attacks really quick with the small sword and then does a lot of damage with the big one. Does he have any weaknesses that I should know about? Anything that I need to buff with to make this a bit easier, or am I just screwed with this weapon? Damn it. Dodge the other way. It’s got such a big hit box. He blocks with it as well. I didn’t even realize that. I don’t know why I’m doing this to myself, but I’ve decided that I absolutely must complete this particular DLC with these weapons. It only seems right. You know, I need to stop playing it so safe because I have to stay close to him. I stayed a bit too close to him that time. He didn’t even let me get up before he started swinging again. It’s time to stop messing around. I don’t know why I’m being so silly. Okay, I’m not a silly guy. I’m a serious person. I won’t allow him to kill me again. I’m a serious man. Okay, I think I’ve got enough deaths now to make the video entertaining. Let’s uh let’s be serious about this. We’ve got a whole other DLC to do. Most of it is fairly easy. Okay, it’s all right. Look, big swings. Really telegraphed except for that one. That one comes in a bit quick. I’m scared to heal. I’m scared. I was right to be scared. I knew he was planning something. The devious bastard. That’s why they locked him down here. Oh, no. I don’t think you needed that. I don’t think you need to be doing all this. Oh, it’s just such a quick swing with so much damage. That’s a giant sword. He shouldn’t be swinging it that quick. But hey, I already said we’ve got the content. I’m not dying again. Okay, look. Oh, I’ve gotten less than half health. Uh it shouldn’t have taken me this long to beat him, and I don’t even know if I’ll do it this time. I don’t know why. His move set is fairly simple. That was the end of the DLC. There was one boss. What? No. I must have missed something. There’s no way. But hey, I finished the DLC, so I can throw these weapons in the trash. That is a big sword on the floor. A really big sword. Examine. Now, what is this all about? This has to be another boss fight, right? Oh, yeah. Here you go. This is a boss room. This is not a boss, but we are in a boss room. Go away. I want the big guy. Is that him? He’s just standing there menacingly. That’s just bang out of order. Purely evil game design. Oh my god. How many of them are there? I thought I was coming to a boss fight. Is this a gank? They’ve lured me into a gank. It didn’t go that well for me, honestly. Guys, please just give me one opening to attack one of you. One opening is all I ask for. You [ __ ] They thought they could stop me. They’ve got another thing coming. Do I just have to jump down this hole? The boss better be down here. I really thought it was just going to bring me straight to a boss, but instead I’ve had to fight through some ridiculous area. Just straight follow up his first attack with another one. Uh, too early on that. And then just didn’t dodge at all there. I’m going to try a heal. When do you heal? Do you have to ask his permission? Do you need to put it in writing? Okay, this guy’s quick. I dodge in and then I think I can get one hit there. And he jumps away. I didn’t expect him to jump back there. I shouldn’t have healed. Oh no, he let me. He’s taking it easy on me this time. I’ve done the run back enough times. He doesn’t want me to do it again. Oh no. The last time I came here, I couldn’t see a thing. And I did walk off the edge, but not this time. DLC number three. Let’s go. I thought the first DLC was pretty good. It really stepped up the bosses. And then the second DLC went even further. So, this DLC’s got a lot to live up to. Okay, Ela Lo, huh? You don’t tell me to turn back. This is looking like a cool area. Stop telling me to go back. I’m not going to do it. Ava doesn’t tell me what to do. How about you bring Ava out here and I’ll tell him what I think about that. I can somewhat see it. I will locate him with my heightened senses. I’m starting to think this DLC is not very good. There will be some sort of item which allows me to see Arthur. I don’t really know what I’m looking for, but I feel like I got to be close. Yeah, this guy right here, he’s a big guy. He’ll have the item I’m looking for. It’s locked. I think I just dodged that and I can hit twice. No, should have gone once. I do a decent amount of damage though. I think with this one, I should just run into him. Okay, I shouldn’t have. I thought I could get behind him and just attack him while those fired off, but I guess I was mistaken. One hit. Dodge right. Come on. I’ve got cats. I know the move set. I deal with this every day. I’m in the zone here dodging. I should probably just heal now just to play it safe. Ooh, that was close. This boss is actually really easy. And of course, it’s the one with the easiest run back. The hard bosses have you going through hell to get back to him. I’ve had Cats for years now. I know every move he could think of. This is nothing to me. Okay, I have to say none of my cats have ever done that, so I wasn’t expecting it. Sorry, Ar. It was too easy. Oh, a fancy place. Is that someone up there? Do I see someone with fog coming off them? They’ve got themselves a smoke machine for aura purposes. To think. Ah, this is the person who was speaking to me earlier. You were telling me to leave. Will you lend me your stress? There was a bunch of areas that I didn’t explore, and I don’t want to miss any secret bosses. Again, this was not the area that I was referring to. I’m going to be completely honest. But, um, discovering something new. So, this is good. This is really good. Great. Now, I got this [ __ ] to deal with. I should have just carried on. I should have gone to the next area. I think this boss spent so long planning out his entrance, making sure he had maximum aura that he didn’t think to actually prepare for the fight. His move set is so easy. Come on. Based on what that lady said, I think this guy is not a bad guy. I think he’s a good guy who came down here and he got corrupted. So, it’s kind of like Star Wars.
