The Sims Is ALREADY Milking More DLC and Now Is NOT The Time… EA Buyout
Hey everyone, it’s Fantasia. So, I didn’t really want to make this video, but I also feel like I should be speaking about this at all at the same time. So, you guys know I’ve been branching out with the recent news of EA, and there’s a lot of things that I feel about it. We’re not going to get into all of that. I’m sure you guys already you guys already know I made a community post about it. You guys have been so so supportive with me branching out, and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. I really really do. One thing I will still continue to do is Sims news videos, but they’re going to be kind of in a different approach. I feel like what’s funny is usually I am so excited for anything and everything that The Sims puts out. And ever since this happened, I feel so very differently and I can’t really help that. You know, all I can do is be honest with you guys and transparent. And it is hard to be excited for The Sims 4 right now. Now, we just got Adventure Awaits and they have already released more DLC. I don’t know how I feel about this, especially given the recent news with EA. I know these things are like scheduled, but I don’t know. I guess we’ll have to see after this one what other DLC’s we’re going to get. We do also know that The Sims might be pushing even more microtransactions because of the EA buyout and the debt that they have. So, it has been said that we definitely may see even more DLC pushed out closer together. And I don’t know how I feel about that either. I mean, I don’t think that’s a good idea. First of all, Adventure Awaits was already surprising to me how soon it came out. It almost seems like it was pushed forward. I don’t know, like it just felt like we just got an expansion and then we got Adventure Awaits already. I was like, “Wo, that was fast.” Nonetheless, I was so excited for Adventure Awaits. Personally, it aligns up with my gameplay. But now, because of everything, I haven’t even touched it. That’s not to say that I won’t ever again. I just I’m just doing what I feel in my gut right now. And I feel like that’s the best thing you can do. And I just don’t agree with them releasing another kit so soon. So basically yesterday the autumn apparel kit released and they said here find the perfect layered look for festivities all fall long with the Sims 4 autumn apparel kit. And here is the little video here. Now this kit looks super cozy. You know I went over it in other videos. Like I’m pretty sure this leaked and I went over it or whatever. Um and now it’s officially here. Um it’s not that it’s a bad kit. I just feel like I don’t know. EA definitely has a habit of releasing things when it’s just not the time, like either when the game is broken or with this recent news. And by the way, like the game is still broken. I know they’re working to fix that and stuff, but yeah, let me know if your game is working, you guys, because a lot of people have still been saying that the game is broken, but I want you guys to know that this is coming from a place of honesty and love. Like, of course, The Sims has been my life for a very long time. I started playing The Sims when I was 6 years old, and I barely even knew what I was doing. But like my cousin introduced me to it. The Sims has changed my life in many ways. I’ve been playing it on the channel for years and years and years. And me even branching out is like a huge risk for me. But I’m not going to sit here and just I I can’t you guys. I’m sorry. Like I feel too icky. I also want to say please like do not use my creator code right now. If you already have, that’s completely fine and I do appreciate the support. But there is other ways you can support me. Even just liking the video, commenting down below, that’s like honestly the best thing you can do to help out any YouTuber that you love and support because of the way the algorithm or algorithm works. You know, you don’t even have to become a member on the channel, but I will say that is a better option. I will be having member only videos, but that is completely optional. You do not have to do that. But what I’m trying to say here is please, please don’t use my creator code this month. If you are purchasing a pack, I even recommend that you hold off on buying packs at the moment. I mean, everything going on. Yes, it’s not like it went through. The bio did go through, but it’s not going to take effect until mid 2026, I believe. It’s it’s like it’s weird. It’s like the fiscal year of 2027, but that doesn’t mean 2027. It’ll be within the next like 6 to9 months basically. A lot of things could change and there is some people who, you know, may not be seeing the real issue of why this is such a problem. And again, like I said, I don’t want to get all into that in this video, but if you do your research, you’ll definitely see the real issues with this buyout. Like, this has to do with the people, you know, and if you want to support the people who are going to be getting your money. So, this video is kind of all over the place, but I just really like I felt like I just wanted to say something without going on and on into the little details of it all, but and yeah, I really wanted to like just tell you guys not to use my credit card this month. I just think that would be best. And you know, you guys, there’s other games. There’s other life simulation games. Also, there’s no harm in still playing the Sims that you already purchased if you want to do that. That, you know, there’s nothing wrong with that. Everyone can make their own decision on what they want to do, whatever they feel comfortable with. You know, maybe this whole thing completely turned you off of the game and you just don’t want to touch it. Maybe you just don’t want to put your money towards it anymore. And what you already have in your EA library, you already purchased it. You’re free to play that. Also, The Sims 4 base game is free now as well. So, yeah. I just wanted to come on here. I feel kind of icky about there already being DLC. I will not have a review on the autumn apparel kit just because I do feel like things like that absolutely influence people to buy the packs. And that’s something that I’m trying to be self-aware of. I have to definitely pick and choose the content that I’m comfortable putting out for the Sims. And I feel like right now the only thing I really feel comfortable with when it comes to Sims content is kind of like news and discussion videos because those can be many different things. I’ve done tons of different things about bugs and glitches, the state of the game, different news that The Sims Communications comes out with on Twitter, things like that. I really enjoy doing news videos, and that’s something I’m comfortable with doing, but other than that, I don’t know. I haven’t opened my game ever since like my last Sims gameplay video. So, yeah, of course, you guys can leave your comments and your thoughts down below and all of that. Let’s keep it nice in the comments as well. I mean, you guys have been amazing, and I do truly truly appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. But I’m going to keep on playing games that I enjoy and supporting things that I enjoy that feel right to me. But also, things can change. And life is very unpredictable. So, I also haven’t wanted to speak too soon. And basically, yeah, like I’ve been saying, what I’m doing is just going with what I feel like is right right now, what I’m comfortable with right now. And that’s kind of all that I can do. But yeah, I’m going to go ahead and wrap this video up here. Hopefully, The Sims doesn’t come out with more DLC like super soon. I I really think a break from DLC would be so so great, but I don’t think that’s going to happen. If anything, I think it’s going to increase. But you guys can let me know because they did state that I mean there was kind of supposed to be a break from DLC, but obviously this was already planned. I don’t know what’s going to happen next.
