Borderlands 4 – The Devs Just Dropped HUGE NEWS! DLC TRAILER + NEW LEGENDARIES!
What’s happening, Vault Hunters? Gearbox just revealed tons of new info about their postlaunch content at PAX Australia recently, and it did not disappoint. I’ve got all of the details on what’s coming up, including the new bounty pack, which is the new story DLC featuring Rush. They even released a trailer for this with new details on the upcoming legendary weapons and more that will be included in this DLC. So, it’s a pretty big DLC pack. Also, I’ve got the details on this month’s Horrors of Chyros event that will bring a whole new spooky weather system to the game, as well as new cosmetics and weapons and so much more as a part of that event as well. And yes, there’s even a new invincible boss on the way as well as a whole new ultimate evolve hunter level. and I’ve got all the updates on this, too. So, as you can see, lots of new content coming. So, grab your Popcorn Vault Hunters and let’s dive into the news. All right, so I’m going to start off with the official blog post from Gearbox. They said, “New Borderlands 4 post-launch content details from PAX Australia.” And they posted this image of the updated road map for you. And then they went on to explain what Bounty Pack one How Rush Saved Mercenary Day is and when it will be launching. They said on November 20th, 2025, How Rush Saved Mercenary Day will get you into the holiday spirit as Borderlands 4’s first bounty pack. As a quick refresher, bounty packs are paid DLC that bring new bite-sized yet flavorful narrative content to Chyros along with new gear to earn and cosmetics to collect, plus a vault card that lets you unlock additional loot through gameplay. How Rush Saved: Mercenary Day is the first of four bounty packs included in the bounty pack bundle. The bounty pack bundle comes with the deluxe edition and super deluxe edition of Borderlands 4 and is available for separate purchase. They go on to say Rush, the affable leader of the Outbounders, is feeling homesick and nostalgic for the holidays. He’s cherished in years past. By his calculations, it’s about to be mercenary day, a jolly time for gift giving and gunslinging with friends and family. and he’d like to bring that same festive cheer to the people of Chyros. But his hopes for holiday marment stand in direct opposition to Screw, the Timekeepers Minister of Culture, who’s charged with keeping celebrations as bland and homogeneous as possible. across a series of all new main missions. You’ll show screw the true meaning of mercenary day by any means necessary and maybe score some legendary loot in the process. So, it sounds like a fun story DLC for sure, but I’m curious to see just how long this story DLC will be, especially considering they described it as a bite-size yet flavorful content and it’s going to be paid. I hope it’s more than bite-sized and I hope we get a little bit more uh length to it uh considering it’s paid DLC right now. With this said, it’s the first of four bounty packs, so there’s going to be more coming, of course. But regardless, I hope each individual bounty pack is long enough to warrant the purchase, right? So, let me know what you guys think in the comments down below. Now, they go on to say this. They said bounty pack one also includes a vault card with new rewards that you’ll earn through gameplay with 24 cosmetic items to unlock and four pieces of re-rollable gear on offer. The re-rollable gear can be earned as many times as you like so you can snag a roll with stats that perfectly suit your build. Here’s the full breakdown of the bounty pack one vault card loot. and they show this image right here of everything you can expect with that bounty pack. So, it looks like some really cool weapons. Those legendary weapons I’m definitely eyeing. I really love the look of that yellow legendary weapon right there. That looks awesome. So, in total, you’re getting fourable weapons, four Vault Hunter heads used by Vex, Rafa, Aman, and Harlo. Four Vault Hunter skins used by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlo as well. five weapon skins, five vehicle skins, and then you get two Echo 4 attachments and then four Echo 4 drone skins as well. So, some pretty cool stuff again in this pack that’s coming. So, let me know what you guys think about it. Do you think it’s going to be worth paying for? Let me know what you think in the comments down below. And the team at Gearbox also goes on to explain a little bit more about vault cards. They said, “Playing a Borderlands 4 with a vault card active gives you more loot and XP via daily and weekly challenges and can be leveled up at your own pace. No time limits or expiring rewards here. Once you own a bounty pack and its respective vault card, you can activate that vault card via the vault card screen in your Echo menu. Vault card progression works just like leveling up. It’s all driven by how much XP you’re gaining and by exploring Chyros, killing enemies, and completing quests. You’ll fill up your vault card progression in addition to your regular XP. And they go on to say, “In addition, Bounty Pack 1 features a few extra goodies to find. One new DigiRunner vehicle available shortly after starting the first main mission. One Vault Hunter skin usable by Vex, Rafa, Aman, and Harlo available after beating the boss and completing the bounty pack’s final main mission. And then one Echo 4 drone skin available after beating the boss and completing the bounty pack’s final main mission. So that’s pretty cool. So there’s some surprises in there in addition to what they already rebuild. and they said to ensure that you jump into Bounty Pack one right when it launches on November 20th, here’s a breakdown of the different ways to acquire this paid DLC. I said if you don’t own Borderlands 4, purchase Borderlands 4 Deluxe or Super Deluxe Edition, both include the Bounty Pack bundle. And I said, if you already own Borderlands 4, option one is to purchase the bounty pack bundle that includes bounty pack one or option two, purchase bounty pack one individually. So that’s all the additional details I wanted to get across to you guys about the bounty pack one. But let’s move on to the horrors of Chyros event that is coming October 23rd through November 6th. And they’ve got a bunch of new details on this event as well. And I’m excited for this one because I love Halloween stuff and I cannot wait for this. So, let’s take a look. So, it says free seasonal mini event, Horrors of Chyros. Just in time for spooky season. Borderlands 4’s first free limited time seasonal mini event, Horrors of Chyros, will scare all players senseless from October 23rd to November 6th. And during the event, world boss encounters change the weather to a terror inducing blood rain with legendary loot you have a chance to get from world boss kill rewards which include murmur legendary Theodore assault rifle executes weakened enemies with guaranteed crits on targets under 35% health. And then their scoly legendary order grenade. This deathdilling grenade fires out projectiles as it seeks out the nearest target. So, some pretty cool legendary loot right there. And keep in mind, this is a free event. So, that’s even cooler. And then they go on to say the following. In addition, we’ll be serving up some shift code treats during the event. a gourd, your loins vault hunter pumpkin head usable by all four vault hunters and a hex uphill weapon skin that can be equipped to any weapon. Keep an eye on the Borderlands social channels to ensure you don’t miss the shift codes before they’re gone. So, in my opinion, the Horrors of Chyros Halloween event definitely sounds like fun. Again, I absolutely love Halloween stuff, so I’m all for this. It would be cool if they were to decorate the safe houses with like pumpkins and like Halloween decorations and stuff like that. I would love to see that maybe for next year’s event. Uh, but this is a really really solid event. I think the addition of the new spooky weather system with blood literally pouring down will be a nice addition for sure and add to the spookiness as well as those pumpkin heads, too. So, what do you guys think about it? Let me know in the comments down below. And then we got to talk about the new invincible boss that is coming as a part of the free endgame update. So, let’s take a look at that. They said free endgame updates. Bloom reaper the invincible and a new UVHM level. If you think your vault hunter build and loadout is strong enough to take down any opponent, you’ll soon have a deadly new challenge to conquer. Bloom Reaper, the Invincible, the first of the endgame invincible bosses coming to Borderlands 4 as free updates for all players. The invincible moniker is a throwback to the raid bosses of previous Borderlands games. So, these aren’t literally unkillable enemies, but you’ll have to contend with their massive health pools, extremely lethal attack damage, and new modifiers that can seriously shorten your life expectancy. Making it to the new arena that this raid boss calls home is one thing. Taking a Bloomreaper down is another matter entirely. Should you somehow manage to prevail, you’ll have the chance at all new legendary loot as proof of your hard fought victory. Bloom Reaper: The Invincible is coming to Borderlands 4 as part of a free update in December 2025, which will also add a new ultimate vault hunter mode level for an added layer of difficulty. So yeah, Bloom Reaper definitely sounds like a difficult boss indeed, especially since they’re coining the term invincible for this boss. And they mentioned that this will be the first of invincible bosses to come to the endgame of Borderlands 4. So they’re really ramping up the content for the endgame of Borderlands 4, which is something the community has been requesting, of course. Now, they go on to say, “Still much more to come.” As you can see from our postlaunch road map. These updates take us to the end of 2025, but there’s lots more paid and free content to come in 2026. In case you missed it, we also recently shared a teaser for Cash, the first of two new Vault Hunters coming to Borderlands 4 as a part of the paid story pack DLC’s. And we did a video on that, by the way, already about cash. So, if you want to take a look at that, I’ll leave a link in the description of this video. And Cash is looking very cool. They released a brief teaser trailer for him. And he sounds like a really cool Vault Hunter. So, again, if you want to check out details on Cash, be sure to check out our breakdown on that.
