Mafia 3 in 2025… Worth It Now?
Mafia 3 was a massive disappointment. Broken AI, brutal bugs, and the most repetitive missions you can imagine. Players hated it. But 9 years later, I gave it another shot. Was it really that bad? Well, let’s find out. What struck me first was how Mafia 3 somehow manages to hook you in straight away. You know how you’re playing some games and when a cutscene plays out, you find yourself on your phone not giving a royal dick. Well, straight from the bat, this never happened in Mafia 3. And Christ, I don’t know who to serve soup to, the bin or the cat on her head. But very quickly, the story begins to escalate and you’re tasked with clearing out a gang of Haitians to protect your stepfather’s territory, which pretty much involves smashing skulls with your dome. And I won’t lie, I was very much enjoying it up to this point. But one thing I did notice, which not many people talk about, is the lack of certain gameplay elements that have seemingly disappeared.
