Destiny 2: RENEGADES DLC EXOTICS REVEALED! – Lightsaber, Jet Pack, & MORE!

What is up, guys? It’s your boy Rick Kakis, and today, out of nowhere, Bungie just dropped a new trailer showcasing some of the legendary weapons, exotic weapons, and exotic armor coming to Destiny 2 in the upcoming Star Wars themed Renegades expansion. So, in this video, we’re going to be breaking down that trailer, finding those hidden details to give you guys as much information on this new DLC as possible. And so let’s get started. All right. So the trailer begins here with a look at I believe the Guardians entering into uh the social space that uh Bungie has talked about in the live stream reveal. Then we just get some action shots, but then we have our first weapon being previewed. It is the Univil Discourse and it says it’s a hand cannon. Now the first thing you’re going to notice is that it has a scope. like it has very similar to I would say uh the 4Erunner exotic hand or I guess that’s a sidearm. So this is going to have a massive extra degree of accuracy compared to your normal hand can. Now I also want to point out here guys that you can actually see an overheat mechanic. So you can see the gun is blinking red and the guardian is kind of shaking their other hand like it’s been scorched. it’s been, you know, heated up and so we’re going to have these like overheat mechanics with some of these weapons. That’s very interesting. After that, we get another hand cannon, the modified B7 pistol. So, you can see by the effects on the enemies that this is a stasis weapon, guys. You have a massive like AT uh ST vehicle in the background here, but you can also notice that wow, this weapon has very little kick. Perhaps it’s a precision frame hand cannon that matches this recoil pattern, guys. Now, after that, the next weapon we’re looking at is the all oro pulse rifle. So, judging by the green projectiles, I’m going to say that this is a strand weapon. And from the background gameplay, it’s really not doing anything too special, but it’s going to be interesting to see if maybe like all of these weapons have that blaster overheat mechanic that we saw originally. That could be really cool. Like perhaps a new weapon type or weapon archetype that’s like a blaster weapon. After that, guys, we get something very cool. The refurbished A499 heavy sniper rifle. So, this says heavy sniper rifle. Of course, this is the Mandalorian rifle. And you can see here that the guardian takes their shot and then you instantly swap to a reload animation. So, we really don’t get to see too much. Like perhaps, you know, these are two unconnected clips, but also maybe it’s just a oneshot weapon, which would make sense for putting it in that heavy slot. Like this is going to be up there with, for example, uh the Whisper of the Worm and the Darcy as a heavy sniper rifle. So, if it really is one shot then reload, this thing could pack an absolute punch. Like the damage could be crazy on this thing, which is like the point. It’s a disintegration rifle, right? So, it’s it’s going to hit hard hopefully. All right. Now, after that, guys, the next weapon we get is the M17 Fast Talker submachine gun. You can tell by uh just the the shooting animations that this one is actually uh going to be stasis unlike the other one that was strand. But then also, interestingly, we have another overheat animation. So you can see right here like you have part of the gun venting out, steam coming out. So again, that’s going to indicate that these kind of like blaster style weapons have that overheat mechanic to differentiate them from your normal legendary weapons. Very cool. Now the next thing we have here is the compact defender sidearm, guys. So uh you know, pretty standard. It looks like a void sidearm. Isn’t doing anything absolutely crazy except for the fact that causes an explosion. So, uh, if this is going to be destabilizing rounds, sorry, it kind of escaped me for a second. That could be actually pretty good. Everyone loves destabilizing rounds. Then we get a little bit of a a hero shot, an action shot with these guardians walking with these weapons. And then we’re going to take a look at some of the exotic armor coming in this new DLC. The first one here is going to be the fortune’s favor. Now, the description in the trailer is shield recharges over time into an overshield. What? Wait. So, hold on. If that just does what it says, you’re naturally going to recharge your shield and then it just turns into an overshield. That seems unbelievably powerful. Like, I would imagine getting shot would maybe interrupt that process. But if you’re out of combat and you can just gen overshield for doing nothing and then come into combat, that’s going to be crazy. for PvP. Like, is everyone at the beginning of the round going to just wait until their overshield charges? Now, maybe you have to get damaged first. Like, it says shield recharges over time into an overshield. So, but like, hey, that could potentially be incredibly incredibly powerful. Moving on from there, guys, for the Titan exotic, we get the praic vestment. So, it says gain an advanced tactical air move, and it’s just straight up a jetpack. We’re just straight up jetpack flying with this exotic. Anthem, welcome back. Okay, we’ve resurrected Anthem with this exotic. This is actually crazy. I mean, how powerful is this actually going to be? I have no idea because, you know, from that short clip, you seem to just be able to straight up fly into the air and then he literally turns to the side to go and attack uh this enemy here. So, like, are you just going to be able to have complete free control of where you’re flying with this jetpack? This could be absolutely insane. Like, movement tech. I mean, lion ram parts. Never heard of them, bro. I’m putting on the jetpack and straight out flying over every single jumping puzzle in the game. Like, that could be really crazy. We’ve never seen anything like this, guys. But moving on from there, finally for the warlock, uh, we get the daimos safusion. Now, this says that your rift suspends enemies and suspend causes damage over time. So, this is like a suspend synergy exotic. This could actually go crazy because now every single thing in the game that suspends enemies, think about the brand new new Malfus or new Malpus um pulse rifle that came out with ash and iron. that is extremely good at suspending enemies. You’re suspending grenades, all of that stuff being able to cause damage over time. You can now spec into suspend with this exotic. And obviously, it’s all going to depend on how much damage over time you actually do. But this could be very, very good. But moving on from there, guys, yep, it’s the lightsaber. Now, in game, it’s called the Praic Blade. And this says block incoming fire and melee and ranged attacks. So you can actually see gameplay of it blocking incoming fire. Uh the user is swinging the lightsaber around and reflecting these projectiles. You can actually see one of the enemies die here from a reflected projectile. Now I don’t know exactly how this is going to work, but I would assume that this is just taking up your block. So instead of blocking like a normal sword, you’re going to be actually doing the Star Wars reflect lasers, which is crazy, right? Uh then you just see a normal swing. You see some gameplay of of the guy, like a big hero shot of him doing a twirling attack. We don’t really get to see too much of the ranged attacks. like it said ranged attack, but if you look at the first clip we saw when it was introducing it, you can see that they’re recalling this like they they have their fist go down and the lightsaber the prax blade is coming back and they’re catching it. If that’s your ranged attack, like if you’re able to throw it like that, and I believe we saw that in a previous trailer and catch it again and that does damage along its route, that’s going to be I mean you that’s going to be insane. like you throwing you’re throwing your sword. Like that’s going to be so sick, guys. But we have one more massive piece of information that I almost missed in this intro screen. All the other ones say like sidearm hand cannon, but for the practic blade, it reveals it’s a kinetic exotic sword. So 100% confirmed it’s an exotic sword. Bungie might have mentioned that during the live stream, but here we have it again in writing. kinetic is crazy because there’s two options. Option number one, it’s still in the heavy slot, but it’s just kinetic, right? And so that would mean it has some really interesting synergies. It’s going to be getting both light and dark transcendence energy at the same time. Like we don’t have a lot of kinetic uh weapons in the energy slot. It’s really just the heavy trace rifle, right? The microcosm. That’s it. or or this is actually in your kinetic slot. This is a special weapon just like the erggo sum, right? Like that would be a kinetic exotic sword. It’s it’s a special weapon. And that would be insane. That would make this weapon unbelievably powerful. You’re able to block and reflect incoming projectiles. throw your sword, do all this stuff, and it uses special ammo. Now, again, that’s just one possibility. Could still be a heavy, but if it’s actually in your kinetic slot, guys. Wow. Wow. That’s going to be powerful. But moving on from there, we actually have one more exotic weapon to showcase here, and this is going to be the heirloom, which is going to fire high explosive bolts. So, this is like the Wookie crossbow, guys. You can see two scopes here. And in like all the gameplay, they’re using it against big vehicles. So maybe this thing does a ton of damage. Like we we really don’t get to see too much of it. But again, that’s a very iconic Star Wars weapon to come to the game. And that’s pretty much going to end the trailer, guys. So definitely some pretty cool stuff. Really interested by that overheat mechanic. is well is it a mechanic or is it just kind of a gimmick? Like is that just the reload animation? You know what I mean? Or is it like honest to goodness overheating so you can essentially have an infinite magazine size, right? Like that could be extremely cool uh depending on how they do that. And of course, man, the lightsaber just looks sick. They act like I think I actually commented to someone in the original trailer when they were saying like, “Man, I hope you can throw the lightsaber.” I was like, “Bro, if you can throw and like block projectiles with a lightsaber, that’s going to be everything I want.” It It seems to be everything I want so far. Like that lightsaber looks crazy. So guys, that’s going to be it for the video. Hope you enjoyed and found this informative.
