Let’s go. So, for those of you that don’t know what’s going on today, let me hop on over and show you. So, Pokemon essentially, they went ahead and made an announcement yesterday saying, “Stay tuned for an update on Pokemon Legends ZA the Mega Dimension tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. Pacific time, which is 9:00 a.m. Eastern time for me, which is why I’m up pretty early streaming. Usually I’ve been streaming on the weekends a little later on so more people can like tune in and everything, but today we’re getting started early. Now, what do we officially know about the DLC? Not that much yet. If we hop on over to the Nintendo eShop over here, we can see we don’t even really have the release date yet. It says where where was it? It says down here, additional story content. Estimated release date February 28th, 2026. Now, that’s a placeholder date right now. We don’t know officially if that’s going to be when the DLC actually drops. I’m assuming since they’re doing a trailer for this game so early, like this whole cycle has been so strange, right? Everything about this cycle has been strange. We’ve had this game revealed to us the the DLC update before ZA officially even came out. And now we’re getting a Mega Dimension DLC trailer within a month of release. So, I’m assuming I don’t think it’s going to be out today. I’ve seen a lot of people over on like Twitter saying like, “Yeah, it’s going to it’s going to drop today. Imagine if it’s just Shadow drop today.” I don’t think that’s going to be very likely, especially since they just released an update for Pokemon Legends ZA like literally last night. It would be kind of weird if they we’d already know essentially from the updates if uh everything was going to be coming out today. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to be coming out today, but in about 70 minutes from now, we’re going to be learning a lot of new stuff. So, chat, what do you guys think we’re going to see? Do you think we’re going to get some new mega evolutions? Do you think we’re going to see the reverse Lumio City? I I’m really really excited for this because the one thing my one like complaint about Pokemon Legends EA is I want to get outside of Lumio City. I want to explore the routes surrounding it. I want some new areas or something like that. So with this DLC, maybe we can get there. And also, why is my camera a little messed up on this window over here? Let me fix that real quick. Like, I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve really been enjoying Pokemon Legends ZA. I’m I’m honestly I’m kind of like low-key addicted to the game where I’ve been playing it so much, doing all the shiny farming, been enjoying the PvP. I I can’t wait to see what we’re going to get here today. And they’re going to add a bunch of new Pokémons in the game, too. That’s the other big thing. So, obviously, we’re going to get to see a little bit more about this Mega Dimension, see whatever it’s potentially going to be. But we’re also going to get some new Pokémon revealed to us today. Maybe new mega evolutions, but also returning Pokémon. Cuz I think one of the biggest absences that everybody has noticed in the Mega Dimension, I mean, in the base game, is we don’t have the Hoen starters mega evolutions. And I think leaks aside, cuz if you’re up to date with the leaks, you probably already know everything that they’ve got in store for us. But leaks aside, there’s no way we’re not having the Hoen starters return with their mega evolutions in this DLC. We need the hope for Mega Flygon, Lucas. I agree. I agree. We We definitely need the hope for Mega Flygon. What’s up, Eevee site? How are you today? Mega Charizard Z. Oh yeah. Like honestly, Mega Charizard Z more likely than MegaFly God at this point. Game Freak, I don’t know. They they just don’t like doing our boy Fly God. Well, so let’s go ahead and hop into Pokemon Legend ZA real quick. I’ve got some fun stuff I want to do. If you guys don’t know, Pokemon Legend ZA, not only did it get an update yesterday, which didn’t really do much, it was kind of like a bug fix update, like gamebreaking bug fix update, not like glitch bug fix, which thank goodness, we could still do all of our crazy shiny hunting. You could still like overspawn wild zone 20 and get six spawns in the middle, which I’ve been playing around with a little bit, but you could also they also updated the ranked battle rewards. So, ranked mode now we could go ahead and actually get the mega del fox from the ZA battle club. And I want to do the climb on stream while we wait for everything. Now, a big updates that they made to the game though is they’re allowing Zerius and Eviltol in this regulation. Both those Pokemon were banned last time. They were banned. You couldn’t actually get on them. You couldn’t use them. But now they’re allowed. And I don’t know about Evil Tool. I feel like Evil Tool is definitely going to make some waves, but Zeus is going to go crazy. Zius is going to be absolutely everywhere. So, I don’t have a Zius yet. I feel like I have to go catch Zertius real quick and then we can do our ranked battle climb. Let me uh let me swap the music back on for in-game right now. Can’t hear the in-game music. I I’ve been thinking about changing it a little bit actually. Use Cosmo. We’ll see. I have some teams built up for ranked right now. So, I actually I got to rank A last season. I did it off stream and I did it with a very powerful team over here. I used Glacion, Gyarados, and Garchomp. And this destroyed ranked mode last season cuz Glacion is just like the perfect anti- meta pick for everything. There were so many literally so many Gyarados and so many dragon types. And with Glacion’s move set, it would hit both of them. Freeze dry is super effective on water type Pokemon, even though it’s an ice type move. So, it just obliterates Gyarados being quad weak to it. Ice Beam obliterates the dragons. So, it’s just kind of cool how Pokemon like this that don’t get mega evolutions at all can be pretty useful. Yep. Glacion, my baby. Absolutely. Absolutely. It feels really good. I don’t know when the Galler I don’t know when I’m going back to Galler, but we’re definitely going to uh randomize the Lumio City very, very soon. My video is almost done. And I was planning on releasing that actually today, but now with all the news, I feel like it’s going to it would be better to upload it tomorrow or Saturday. So, we’ll see. But first things first, I want to go get Zerius. I want to get Zerius so we can take that thing online and then do some damage with it. Since when does Glaciad know Shadow Ball? This game. It could get Shadow Ball. I don’t know if it was always able to get Shadow Ball, but it could definitely it could learn it easily in this game just through TM. Glacion. The problem with Glaciad, the only bad thing about it is its move set is kind of like aside from double ice moves or triple ice moves, it can’t really do much else, which again, when you’re using it as like an anti- meta Pokémon, it definitely works out that way, but it doesn’t really get much else. Like, you’re not going to run like takedown double edge on a special attacking thing. Even if it got hypervoice, you wouldn’t really be too crazy about that. Yeah, it does get hypervoice. You wouldn’t be too crazy about that. It’s just normal. you don’t really and it doesn’t get stabbed or anything. So, Glacion might not be the best Pokemon overall, but when the meta when you’re seeing a bunch of dragons and a bunch of Gyarados, Glacion is just ridiculous. Like, that thing is my lead. Got me so many free kills and made my climb to rank a ridiculously easy last season. But, we’ll see how this season is with Xernius in the mix. Uh the whole announcement takes place in what is that 64 minutes right now. So a little bit over an hour to go. I think we could climb the ranking real quick and get the del foxite before that without much e without much problems. Ah here’s my star little researcher. See tackling my tasks has trained you up to handle just about anything. Wouldn’t you say? In a little bit over an hour, it starts now. Then, looking at the data you collected, we’re basically headed for disaster. Zertius, the one that gives life, is beyond a doubt drawing close to Lumio City. We can probably infer that the crisis with the tower triggered this behavior. The excessive mega power from the tower caused Rogue Mega Evolution. And if Zernius shows up, something similar could happen again. I mean, it is command of basically an unlimited pool of energy. There’s only one way to make sure we avoid another disaster. Xernius must be caught. It looks like it’s on track to appear in Wild Zone 11. And once it appears there, it’ll be a problem for some outstanding trainer to deal with. By which I obviously mean you, not me. All right. Well, sounds good. Let’s go ahead and get that zerius. Let’s go get that real quick and then let’s devastate the ranked battles. My favorite new mega so far is definitely seeming like Excadrill, like utilization wise. I think the design’s pretty cool where it just gets like massive and ridiculous, but actually using it as well, I definitely think that uh Excadrill does a lot of work. It puts in a lot of work. I might actually use it in rank mode too today. Let’s see. Where’s my Let’s get Exadil on the team. Actually, it’s going to be underleveled going into the Zordius fight. But I still think it’ll be able to do a lot of work cuz the evil tool wasn’t that bulky. I remember like prepping for it a whole bunch and then I it wasn’t really much I had to worry about. Yeah, we’ll just run it with this move side. It should be fine. Oh, is it on the other side? Oh, no. Making me do laps. Is the DLC out? Not yet. Not yet. Today we are getting the DLC trailer. We’re getting some sort of trailer for the DLC. So, we’re going to know a lot more about the DLC. Also, I have not bought the DLC yet. Have you guys all bought the DLC? Uh today we’re definitely getting a release date for it cuz again we only have that placeholder date right now of February 28th which I don’t think they’re going to do it February 28th because that’s after Pokémon Day and I feel like Pokémon Day is going to purely focus on Gen 10. So I don’t think that they’re going to I think they’re going to try to get us that DLC like very quickly. I wouldn’t be surprised Oh, we just threw away that ball real quick. I wouldn’t be surprised if the DLC came out not this month, but I feel like maybe early December so everybody could get it for the holidays. You know, I bought the DLC after I bought the game. Very nice. When does it start? In exactly 1 hour. In exactly 1 hour it starts. But let’s see what’s going on over here with Xernius real quick. No, that’s a placeholder day, Darius. No, healing moves in this game are so overpowered in normal gameplay. Like the way I was able to achieve through the final fight was absolutely insane. I have not caught Zygarde yet, so don’t spoil me on the Zygarde, but I think we’re going to have an easy time against that thing, too, with Stinky. Oh, it’s breaking out. No, I want it in a Premier Ball. I only have seven Premiere Balls. I really want it in a Premier Ball. Premier Ball is like my favorite generic ball for Pokemon that I can’t like color coordinate with easily. Look at that. Man, look at the healing. The way that we quickly got back up to full. So broken. Oh, it’s going to break out, though. It’s going to break out. It doesn’t want to get caught. Dude, I caught I caught the evil toll in the first ball. Wait, what? Wait, what? Where’d it go? Oh, it’ll recover in no time. So, hurry and catch it before it causes more trouble. Can I just Does it respawn real quick? Do I have to do anything? It’s not going to Oh, okay. I don’t think it’s been remixed at all yet. I do know Zygarde gets its own theme. That’s pretty much the extent that I know about that fight, though. Cuz at first I was thinking, oh, they’re they’re a little lazy for not remixing the theme. But I understand it. If they’re going to give Zerius and Evil to the same theme, but give Zygarde like a remix version of it, I respect it a lot more. Come on. We’ll go down to like one premier ball. But if it doesn’t want to catch, then we just got to swap it over to great balls. Zernie. Oh, there we go. Let’s go, baby. We got it in the ball I wanted it in. Nice. Oh, hello, Mabel. When we found Xernius 5 years ago, it was basically dormant in a treelike state. It was a lot easier to secure like that compared to what you just had to do. Really? Was that considered hard? I don’t think so. But even then, you could feel the life force just rolling around it. I’d been researching Pokémon’s life energy for ages, and I was still overwhelmed by that feeling. Seeing Zerius again after all this time, it’s quite something. But look at me, still stuck here, forbidden from traveling about freely or leaving Lumios. Then there was all that mess with energy leaking from the tower and powering up wild Pokémon. That energy is probably what caused all these wild Pokémon to flock to the city wanting a taste. In short, things have been rough. Oh, trust me, things are about to get way, way, way, way, way worse. We’re going to find out about what’s actually going on in 54 minutes when we see that trailer for the DLC. But somehow, we’ve managed to prevent even more trouble from befalling the Pokémon here. Looking at it that way, it’s nice to know that my work for Team Flare wasn’t total waste. Dude, I feel like Team Flare is just waiting in the wings, dormant. You have everybody popping up. A bunch of admins, some new strong grunts, and even Mabel as the professor. All they need is one little push and they’re back in full force. But that’s mission 40 complete. Now, let’s go ahead and get that Del Fox sights. When can we expect with a challenge mode? FYI, no nuzlocke or anything. I’ve been thinking about doing a challenge run. I’ve cooked up some fun ideas that I think are pretty unique for a challenge run. And I might go ahead and do that on a stream as well. It’s going to be Nuzlocke first cuz I know you guys have been asking. Well, randomizer first. Randomizer first cuz you guys have been asking for it like crazy. And maybe some challenge runs and then maybe the randomizer nuzlocke. But we’ve got a lot of fun content coming. And then who knows, the DLC might come out next month, too. Not the most useful stat to boost up in this game, but it is what it is. What do you guys think about competitive in Pokemon Legends ZA? I know people are cooking up some crazy strats right now. I don’t get too deep into the customization of EV spreads. I’m personally right now just going to like pump up the special attack and HP all the way. I know I can do specific calculations to maximize my stats for this, but I feel like in ranked online mode, you don’t need to do anything too crazy to see success. You know, people in ranked online, like sometimes you’ll get these matchups where people are just bringing like unevolved Pokémon, so you don’t need to optimize too hard to win. That being said, I’m going to optimize somewhat. So, let’s put some calciums on that thing. Boost up that special attack. Boost up that HP, make it a little bulky, and just some points into special defense right now. Again, not the most optimal way to do it, but it gets the job done. I’m sure. I’m sure it will. Za Nuzlocke would be hardcore. Yes, it really would be. I don’t think it would be impossible. Like at first I was thinking it was impossible before I actually played through the full game, but now that I played through it, I definitely see like a path to victory. I don’t think it’s going to be brutal brutal. And let’s see. Do I have the TM for focus blast? I kind of want focus blast on this thing. I think the fighting coverage is going to go hard. Oh, wait. I do. I do. I like scrolled past it twice and didn’t see it. There we go. Let me just fix up the order. Usually I like the stab move in the top right there. Thunderbolt is going to be great coverage for Gyarados and all the flying type Pokemon. Focus Blast is good for countering like steel type Pokemon. I’m sure the ladder is going to be full of steel types right now cuz everybody’s predicting everybody’s going to be bringing Xernius. It’s going to be absolutely insane with the Xernius right now. I have yet to try competitive since I have no Nintendo Switch online yet, but once I get a Switch 2, I’m going to lock in. That’s the way to do it. Also, I don’t know if you guys have seen, but competitive like getting the rewards have gotten super super easy. There was a lot of worrying before about like is it going to be easy to get the starter mega stones, but they actually in this update made it super easy to do. So, for just getting to rank Y, now you get the Greninja. So, the Greninja is still available and you get it like the moment you rank up. So like literally even if you lose a battle, you’ll get the Greninja. And then the Deloxite I think is really early on too. I don’t remember how exactly early on it is. But in the meantime, let me show you my competitive teams. So, team one, this is what I got to rank A with. Real, it was really easy to get to rank A last season with this team. Again, the the Glacion was just a great anti-meta pick at the time. It was just destroying Gyarados. It was destroying like all the dragon type salibates, Dragonite, Garchomp. Overall, just great. Gyarados is amazing because Gyarados again just sky-high attack and its base form, but then on top of that, it just gets great coverage. Earthquake, well, two things. Flying type in PvP seems to be like ridiculously overpowered because not a lot of things can are immune to earthquake and earthquake has that big spread damage where it hits so many things around you. So being immune to that and having skyhigh attack and being able to spam earthquake is great. Bounce is nice too cuz it like lets you dodge moves and it gets flying stab and base form. Crunch is great. So like all around Gyarados is so good and Garchomp like Garchomp’s ridiculous guys. Garchomp is insane. Garchomp’s always broken, but Mega Garchomp is actually insane in this format too because speed doesn’t matter as much. You get Swords Dance to boost your attack. Dragon Rush again for like pseudo eye frames. Earthquake again. We already know how broken that is. And today there’s a couple of other teams I want to try too. Like I feel like my team won with the Glacion and Garchomp might do better against what I’m seeing right now. Especially against the Feraligators. How high is Mega Del Fox’s special attack? Cuz actually, now that I think about it, everybody is going to be using steel types. It might actually have a really good niche. But let’s see. I also like how super easy they made it to like wipe your Eevees clean in this game. You don’t have to go grind a bunch of berries. Well, number one, I know you could buy the Eevee reducing berries, which is really, really nice. No need to farm them anywhere, but you could literally just go to the Rust Syndicate office and like trade in five mega shards and it completely wipes away all the EVs. So, it’s not a concern if you accidentally get some EVs and some sort of stat or something. Make sure you modest mint it. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. We’re absolutely going to modest mint this thing cuz I I’m not going to lie, I didn’t think that it was going to matter too much with the Zernius. I thought Zius was just going to be like so broken that we don’t even need to like worry about modest minting it. But uh seeing that we were missing those KOs and since like online the only thing that really matters is landing the KOs, we’re going to modest mint this thing for sure. Which Mega shocked me the most to see? Seeing Star’s animation, seeing the way that it ran was the most shocking to me. I didn’t think it was going to look as goofy as it actually did. Let’s get some levels. I’m not going to use 782 on it, but let’s get some levels on this thing so I can get some like extra moves. I don’t know. I don’t know if the moves it gets all the good moves at this point. Chat, what do you think is a good move set for uh Delox? I’ve like literally put zero thoughts into using Del Fox at all. Is mystical fire any good? That’s kind of interesting. Lowering the special attack. That could be like an interesting like anti- meta move right there. It also gets lightcreen. Kind of nice. We have like so many options for like complete optimization. We could put proper natures on these Pokemon. We could use bottle caps and everything. You just get the Greninja cuz you get it as soon as you rank up to rank Y. Super super easy. The professor spoke with AZ as part of his research into mega evolution. Professor Sycamore’s theory was that mega stones transfor Professor Sycamore’s theory was that mega stones formed 3,000 years ago when certain stones were irradiated by light. The energy of the legendary Pokémon that was fired from the ultimate weapon. AZ nodded when he heard when he heard that. According to him, that’s why we’ve been finding new types of mega stones recently. After all, the ultimate weapon was fired again 5 years ago. Oh, so that’s kind of interesting. So, let’s take a look at Mega Chimeco real quick. Oh, this is like a different this is different than usual. Mega Chimeco, the mega evolution of the windchime Pokemon. So, we have in this form, Chimeco is flanked by six dangling copies. Mega Chco always waves and flutters even when no wind is blowing. When Chimeco lets out a cry, the copies join in and resonate with it. As those cries overlap and reverberate, they re they form an intense soundwave attack. Ah, okay. So, it’s probably gonna have some sort of ability that like goes based off of sound moves. That would make a lot of sense. Windshine Pokemon, too. Psychic Steel is really cool. It’ll definitely make it very bulky. I wonder Oh, but if it keeps levitates, it would be immune to ground moves. That could be so interesting. The typing for this can go so many different ways. And then Excalibur. Mega Back Excalibur. The Mega Evolution of the Ice Dragon Pokemon. Thanks to Mega Evolution, this Pokemon generates more ice energy, and the massive blade on its back has grown larger still. Back Excalibur can use the blade’s sheer weight to cleave practically anything in half or smash it to bits. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. Got it in the love ball. Very nice. Very nice, dude.
