Part 4 – The story of Little Nightmares + DLC Secrets of the Maw #indiegame #gaming
She breaks out of her cage and wanders the janitor’s lair, searching for a way out. After avoiding him for a while, she is cornered in a small room by the janitor. She uses the door to crush his arms and makes her escape into the kitchens. The hunger strikes again and Six is forced to eat a rat to survive. Sneaking through the kitchens, Six must avoid the twin chefs, two large humanoid monsters. Six makes her way through the kitchen and is able to escape by climbing a stack of dishes and leaping onto a conveyor that carries her out of the kitchen. The chefs chase after her, but she makes it just in time. Six leaps from the hook and is soon outside of the mall. Six watches as many guests arrive. The guests are mindless creatures who are ravenous. They are here to eat, and after they have eaten, the lady drains their life force, presumably to power the m. In order to escape, Six must face these vile creatures. If they notice her, they become ruthless and chase after her. Six barely makes it, but is able to make it past the guests. Six pushes on as the hunger returns and takes over her body. With each step, Six struggles more and more. At the brink of starvation, she enters a room.
Little Nightmares concludes the timeline with Six trapped aboard The Maw, a massive underwater prison and restaurant where wealthy Guests feast endlessly. Six must escape through the kitchen past the grotesque Twin Chefs, sneak through the Guest area, and ultimately confront The Lady who runs this nightmare.
Throughout the game, Six experiences a growing, uncontrollable hunger that leads to increasingly dark choices. The story ends with Six consuming The Lady’s powers and walking past starving children, hinting at her transformation into something monstrous.
The DLC Secrets of the Maw follows the Runaway Kid through a parallel story, exploring the depths of The Maw and revealing the horrifying Granny who lurks in the flooded areas. His tragic fate connects directly to Six’s journey in the main game.
