Is the Atari 50 Namco DLC Worth It?

Is the Namco DLC for Atari 50 worth it? For those who don’t know, Atari 50 is a collection of older Atari games for modern consoles. In a shocking move, Atari partnered with Namco to release a DLC that contains classic games like Pac-Man and Digdug. The package includes 14 Namco games, including some for the 5200 and 7800, which desperately need games. Pac-Man on the 2600. While it’s not considered the best port, it’s still cool that it was included. You get a nice list of all the game variations in the settings, which is one of my favorite features. You also get a timeline mode where you can learn more about the history of Namco and Atari. My only complaint is in the arcade section. For some reason, Atari only included two arcade games, DigD Dog and Zeius. Why not Pac-Man or Galaga? I’m also surprised that more franchises like Pole Position or Miss Pac-Man were not included. If you enjoy Namco’s earlier kid games, though, this is a no-brainer.
