Can I Terraform a Radioactive Wasteland?! – Planet Crafter Toxicity DLC
Hello everyone, I’m Kibitz and welcome back to Planet Crafter, a game where you terraform a world into a lush green paradise. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Too green. Somebody did an oopsie and now a planet’s covered in radiation and toxic waste. That’s right. Planet Crafter has a new DLC where instead of working on this dirty world, we have to work on the goopy one. Or on top of the normal terraforming processes, we have to get rid of all the toxic goo. On top of that, the base game has been updated a ton since the last time I’ve played with vehicles, portals, interplanetary trade networks, and so much more. So, the deal is we land on a barren planet, which we need to terraform. I think we’re technically a prisoner sent here by Sentinel Corp, except now things are different. Everything is highly toxic, including essential stuff like water that we have to build quickly or else we’re going to die. Cool. There’s our water. Uh, let’s quickly grab some Oh gosh. Which we can’t even get close to because it’s radioactive. All right. Well, then we’re just going to follow the basics. Collect some goodies and craft the essentials. Luckily, there are goodies all around us and we are good. Next, we need to craft our little house with some power. And then a new crafting station. Well, I’m going to live by the toxic goo, but not too close because we can’t actually build in the toxic areas. Why can’t I live in toxic waste? This is so sad. Anyway, there’s a new crafting station. We need to make toxic related crafting station, a detoxification machine, atmospheric purifier, and this water collector. Where the heck do you find toxic spores? Wait, I know where you find toxic spores. In loot boxes. One of the best things about this game is when you’re going around, you have loot. Give me that. Oh, and water. Delish. Oh, but even more loot and trains. Oh my gosh. Please tell me there’s going to be a train we get to ride later on. We don’t need this stuff yet. Chlorine. I don’t think so. No, there better to be a train later on. Wait a wait a second. Wait a second. Are you telling me this entire planet is covered in toxic goo and trains? [Laughter] I deserve to be sent here. Anyway, we got to find these spores. So, go figure. I found those spores right beside all the rest of the toxic goo, which is about to irdiate me to death. Okay. Uh, out of there. Thank you. It’s time to craft. What do we make here? Goo cleaning chip. Info chip that needs microlastics. Purification t capsule. There’s then the Palmers and toxic filter. Well, this is all well and good, but but we don’t have a steady supply of water yet, which is mission critical. Like, our job is to build power and terraforming machines, but we can’t focus on our job if we can’t survive. Oh, wait. No, then we need this first, right? Maybe that, this, and maybe uh some of this. Oo, cuz I’m thinking we need this detox machine in order to get those plastics. Ah, yeah, 100%. Oh, but we need the radioactive goo to get the plastic. So then we need the chips. Then we can get the goo, right? Ew. They’re like giant boogers. Oh, what the heck? I guess we have cleaned up the area. No more radiation. Oh, and you can even see all of the radiation crawling back. That’s so neat. Except for the fact I’m going to die. I don’t have any oxygen. Fine. Okay, we got ourselves a pond, which we can now collect water from. So, I’m going to guess this collects yeah toxic water, which we put in the detoxifier. Now that we have that source of water, now we just need a source of food, which we can make in the veggie tube. Wait, no, no, no. We need a food grower. Wait, am I going to starve to death? Yep. I’m going to die. How do I get the food grower? We need oxygen. What makes oxygen? Not you. You a little bit. But we don’t have nothing good yet. Thing is, we have to build terraforming machines to both change the planet and unlock stuff. But each subcategory has its own unlocks. And the one thing we need, we can hardly get any of. All right. Well, I’ll get my toxins and microplastics. I’ll just make all the other toxic gear first then. And the toxic mask, cuz we are only getting started with the toxic areas, I am sure. And with the toxic tech, which we’ll unlock once the power’s back on. But for now, you can see all the toxic stuff that you’ve cleaned up and also the unlocks from cleaning up all the toxic stuff. Oh, there do be unlocks. Purification gel, a purification rocket. What’s that? Atmosphere purifier. I’m noticing a theme. Ooh, and then toxic goo removal explosives. Things get a little wacky wild out here, eh? Oh, yeah. Oh, from here. Just a lot of collecting. Good amount of scooting. good amount of looting and a bit more building. All the while we’re making new things, getting new blueprints, and watching number go up. Uh, real bad news though. But although we have like our starter stuff all up, there is no aridium for the heater, which means this number doesn’t go up. And if it doesn’t, then we don’t get the food grower, and then we die. So, panic. Yeah, I have one little starter space food thing left. That’s literally it. We only have one option. We must journey into the goo. So, we’re going to go out the rail line and try and get into some of these facilities. Maybe there’s some extra loot. Maybe there’s a way out of here. I don’t know. Oh my gosh. But we can’t even go in there because it’s so radioactive. We’re not going to survive unless I dig it out. Or is there goo down there? We can get rid of 46 toxic elements. No. No, there isn’t. We’re doomed. We don’t have much time. Let’s just see if there’s anything in here. A box of tungsten food. That’s literally all we can do to survive. More food. This is it. This is the play. Anything on the computer? Mail. Mail. Welcome. Good luck. Thanks, tips. Food. Chlorine. Wait, that’s the thing we needed. Do that. And a bed. Even better. It was all worth it except for the fact I’m going to radiate myself to death. No. Don’t die. Don’t die. Breathe. Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. Stop my health. Wait, the food helps with health. With the two pieces of aridium, we can make heat. That’ll get us the food. Then we’re chilling. Wait, what’s that over there? Ah, yes. More radiation, but also a tower and a box. The box. Aridium. Aluminum num num. Yeah, that’s also good, but not necessarily what I’m after. Let me in. Let me in. Loot. Ladder. No loot. Got to go quick. I’m going to die of radiation. Stuff stuff. Stuff stuff. Why tempt me? Stuff. Stuff. Stuff. Jet. What? A jetpack. Okay, that that was all worth it. That was all worth it. Let’s get out of here. I don’t need information right now. I need the jetpack. Is there anything else? No, no. YOLO. We have a jetpack now. Yes, we’re good. Okay, but we could get out of here anytime. Please, please. Okay, well, not exactly what I wanted, but hey, not too bad. Well, the aluminum allows us to create these agility boots. And if we can move faster, we can loot more. But I also need like literally all these things on me. Maybe not the builder. I don’t know. Norest thing of all. This doesn’t really solve our food problem. We only have one left. So, the deal is then I have to find all the goo. I can get rid of it. Lower the radiation levels and then we can explore that area more. The area that was way over the in the other way. We’re not getting in there anytime soon, bud. So, uh good news, bad news. Uh I don’t have any more food left. Uh good news is though, I’ve gotten rid of the son of the goo and we can survive in here longer. So, right now we have to find food right now. Right now. What is this? A train station? with loot. Let me in here. It’s surrounded by goo. I don’t have the goo chip. Ah, is this a functioning train? Oo, KPU purification. And we can use the train. Sounds pretty food. Sounds pretty good. We will use that later. And what is over here? A jail cell. Oh, somebody being bad. It was me. No, don’t care. Look at all the food. We’re chilling. The big thing is then I guess our big goal really is to get purification up. That way we can use a train and maybe it can take us to somewhere nicer than this. Or what’s over here? Mushrooms. Pipes. Oh, the greatest cess poolool of radiation I’ve ever seen. Yeah, we’re not going there right now. Now, the main thing is we’ve bought ourselves a little bit of time and we just need to purify a ton with these machines. And those machines are really difficult to make, but it’s possible. We just got to clean up even more. Oh, but now we can breathe a sigh relief. We did get the food grower. It grows food. We can make food. Meaning we don’t have to run around as much as in a panic looting the world. We still will, but like, you know, a little more calmly. Or maybe not because I am suffering from my own success. We have the heaters. We have all the numbers going up. Purification big up. Problem is, we have cleaned up too much. So, we have the food now, which is great. But now we don’t have water. Oh, but we have a T3 drill. Fantastic. But no, uh, we need water to live. And these things can only collect toxic water. And apparently, we have purified the pond. So, we can’t get the toxic water to purify. And I can’t just wait. I can’t just drink the water in here. Water at least is far less of a problem because at least we can make it ourselves. But still, there’s always something. Why is surviving alone on an alien toxic world so difficult? My goodness. Yeah. Nope. We got to find a new water source. And I think there’s actually one over there. See, we can go up to that base we need to explore. But down this way, the sip. The toxic sip. How we looking? Uh, there is 100 toxic sip in here. Excellent. Can we wait? Can we just straight up build here right now? Huh? Have to clean it up first. Come on. Why can’t electronics handle a little bit of a spice, eh? Oh, maybe they can. Is this not toxic anymore? Nope. Still giggxic. Frick. Oh, we have so much to do then. Like, watch out for asteroids as well. Great. In fact, maybe that’s just our cue to get inside for a minute. Yeah, we have the jetpack. Oh gosh. Let’s see what’s in the tower. Goo. Oh gosh. Can we get up here? We can. More goo. And upstairs. Oh, the goodies. Microlastics. Yum. Yum. Now that we’re here, let’s see what’s going on in like the main building. What’s up with this? Holy smokes. Somebody goofed up pretty bad. Ew. Oh, but loot. Oo, toxic ghoul removal explosive. Yes, please. Right click. Is there like a detonator on it? This wouldn’t hurt me, right? I’m made of a different type of goo, but it might not. Oh, wow. Wow. That was effective. Hopefully, we can make some more of those really, really soon. There’s a lot of good stuff in here. But I’m going to die. I got to get out of here. Do what I can. Like, I’m making food, sure, but it’s not a lot of food. But maybe with that sheep, we could unlock something. Neato. Neato. Burrito. Well, it is a chip, just not the edible kind. Okay, round two. And now we’ve cleaned up so much goo, it’s less toxic and can actually last around here a little bit longer. I want to go upstairs. It’s like a command center or something. Looking up there. Anything going on upstairs? Plants. Dilute. And upstairs. Oh, this is the control room I was looking for. Let me in. Advanced crafting station. That is huge. First, what’s the news? Long story short, apparently tungsten drilling has caused radioactivity issues. Ah, makes sense. That’s why there’s tungsten all over the place as well. H, also, while we’re around here, we can gather these heaters. They can help us with our tech. That stuff we can get other places. Aluminum, you’re coming with me. I think we’ve explored everything, though. There’s just a bunch of stuff we can deconstruct. Loot. We still got to clean. So much cleaning. And then the water situation. Oh gosh, the water situation. Always so busy busy busy in this game. Not to mention our main goal of getting number to go up. And eventually we’ll get that number so high that it’ll start to rain around here. There’ll be lakes forming and the atmosphere could even be breathable so we don’t have to worry about running out of oxygen. Ah, it will be a paradise one day. But right now, the advanced crafting station so we can get better tools. That just unlocks a whole new slew of things to make like a new backpack, a jetpack. All right, got that super alloy, better oxygen tank. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. So, pretty good run of things up there. I think it’s mostly clean and we’re down to 0.1 radiation. So, these couple piles might be it. Don’t tell me there’s going to be like one more pile of goo that’s not here, right? Don’t do this to me. Please. Please. Could you imagine? Nope. We’re good. The area is clear. The radiation is going away and we are able to build here and have some fun. We’ll start our little detox stuff just over yonder. And we’re going to get a lot of it going because we are moving and grooving now. Now we have food and water all cleared. The base has expanded. I mean unlocking tons of new technologies, a tier 2 toxin filter and the goo removal explosives. And then upstairs here, I’ve just been building lots of more machines so our numbers continue to go big up, which means at some point we can take the train out of dodge. But also, I want to explore a bit around here. I took a quick gander, built a oxygen house, and collected some sulfur. But I think we need some better gear before we go into this. It’s 52 puddles of goo. Yeah, we’re not going to be able to survive here too long, chief. Unless piece of candy. Oh, that’s really good. This is all good. This is really, really good. Take the box with me. Nothing remains. Another jetpack. Okay. Door to more goo. More stuff. I didn’t realize there’d be loot this close by. Actually, one second. One second here. One second here. What is this? Oxygen smells nice. Food. Little too much pepper, but not bad. In the big bin full of everything I’d ever want. Chips for tech. Flowers for oxygen. Water abundant. Okay, cool. Yeah, with that kind of loot. Wait, was that kind of loot in no time? We can go into the abyss over there. But one last box. Ah, it’s how everything’s too good. Dang it. I didn’t look at my radiation levels. I’m getting deep fried. Oh, we’re good. We’re chilling. And we’ll be back there in just a moment. Okay, now we got the gear. I made an explosive. This capsule actually gets rid of a radiation that’s on you. So, we’re going to bring that along. And then all my gear is as upgraded as it can be. So it is time to Whoa. Whoa. It’s time to explore. Holy planets, Batman. What’s the purple one doing there? That one. I thought we were on the toxic planet. Holy smokes. Oh no, we definitely still are on the toxic planet. But you know what? I think we can clean up the rest of this area before we head over there. Maybe we could have this be like a bit of a staging ground. Oh no, I lied. We need 14 more things cleaned up. Ah, don’t dinko. We’re going straight over here so we don’t have to run all the way back to our main base. Let’s gather up some iron, maybe. Ooh, loot piles. Yes, please. Then throw the box in here. Perfect. Yeah, actually, I should have to mention this. These loot piles that are all over the place have made material collection so simple. It’s been awesome. Like so many goodies. Like super alloy even. Sheesh. Oh no. But wait. Wait. No. The sky is falling. Please. Why are there so many asteroids? I don’t know. Do we leave any loot like at the beginning here? Kind of looks like we just left drunk. That’s okay. We’re going all the way as far as we can go into this. Uh we have the explosive on us. So I just want to try and get to the real good stuff. Wait, buttons? No buttons. Okay, we’re going in even further. It’s all nice and snug underground as well. What even is half of this stuff? It’s the wackiest nuclear power plant I’ve ever seen in my life. Wait, open door. Ring ring. Hello. Loot box. That’s very nice. But I’m looking for the goods. What are disc? Can I grab them? Algae. Oh, and then we unlock a bioddome. Hm. Good timing, I suppose. Was this water? Really? Is this the whole enchilada here? Is this just a giant area to clean up? Don’t tempt me with a good time. I had brought the explosive. Put her down and let her rip. Holy. We take those. But okay. I thought this area would go a little bit further in. So, we’re just going to get right out of dodge right now. Wait, is there anything under there? No. Yeah, we’re going to get out of dodge right now because I don’t want to use that capsule. It’s fine. The damage is fine. We can eat eggplants. It will be fine. Get me out of here. Okay, that was super super super super not worth it. I regret everything. Oh, but we got a high quality food. Health is full. I regret nothing. And wait, no, there’s still one more big thing we need to check out. Some kind of giant machine over there. And I know I can feel it in my bones. There’s a loot box in it. That may also be the radiation and microplastics in my blood, but no, it’ll be fine. Oh no. Hey, it’s right there. Nice. Give me the goods. Okay, kind of mid. Most of the loot that I look for is stuff that I can’t like find or craft myself or just expensive items like the goo removal thingy. Ooh, super alloy, flowers, and iron. Don’t mind if I do. Okay, not bad. Just a lot more to clean up, which will leave two future cibs. No, I got another place I want to clean up. Actually, I want to go and clean up the train station. It’s time to go chew. It’s probably not too much to clean up here as well, right? 14 goo piles. Yeah, we can handle that. Wait a second. We can just blast it. Doing things myself. I don’t ding. Imagine it exploded when I ended the sentence. Easy. Almost. Yeah. Actually, no. Not too bad at all. Train station is clean, pure, and chilling. And the train, it can work. Oh my goodness. And it provides oxygen. Even better. Quick resupply. Then adventure time. For that, we’re bringing the good food. Uh, let’s make some oxygen bottles from storage here. We saved that purification capsule. Now, so long starter base. Maybe forever. We’re going into the hills. Use some kind of like underground biome. I have no idea. Button. Press. True. Scooting. Oh, we can leave the train. I don’t think I’ll do that. Oh, there’s some gear in here as well. Even better. So, we’re not going to crash the train either, right? This isn’t like a some kind of scripted event. We’re chilling into the cliffs. Underground biome time. Oh my gosh. You have no idea how much I want to jump out of this train, but I need to see where it goes. Now, at this rate, I’m thinking like the whole DLC is just mostly underground cuz we have been going forever here and it still keeps going. Oh, wait. No, no, no, no, no. There’s outside. And what the is that? What is this? Excuse me. What are you telling me? We have just been in a tutorial area for the last couple hours. What is over there? The train crashed. Oh no, no more chew. Can we clear this? Oh no, there’s no track. Okay. Huh. So, this whole time we’ve just been running around a little tutorial area and now the real game will begin.
