Can I win WW2 as Japan in the NEW Hoi4 DLC? | No Compromise, No Surrender
We are the miracle of the east. The first Asian nation to industrialize and imperialize. The empire of emperor Hirohito spans from China to Micronia. Though the miracle is far from done as further expansion is needed both to save Asia from the Europeans and to secure much needed resources for our economy. But before we begin, I want to thank Paradox Interactive for sponsoring today’s video and providing me early access to the new DLC, No Compromise, No Surrender. It includes focus trees for Japan, China, and the Philippines, together with new military doctrines and a reformed faction system. Back to Tokyo, rumors are spreading around government halls of a planned coup attempt by the Kodoha faction in the military. They seek to restore direct imperial control of the state. Still, elections went on showing democracy still exists despite its fragility. It was the 26th of February that the coup took place. But acting quickly, the government declared martial law, rapidly suppressing and purging the Kadoa faction. But this quick victory didn’t just magically fix all our political issues in the fight for influence. While the civilian government tried to mostly ignore them, continuing our economic buildup, the military supporters went to work. Our new prime minister reintroduced the law allowing only military officers to hold the position of minister of war, granting substantial influence for the army and starting a bitter conflict between the civilian and military factions. While this went on, economic works continued. The most important Japanese companies are together called the Zibatu who are one of the four factions vying for power. Ensuring support from the Yasudal de Zibbatu Bank, we will see further improvements in our industrial efforts. The Ministry of Colonial Affairs did also conduct some economic works while preparing for a lot of future development, mainly Manuria and Korea. This led us to China. It was less than 5 years ago that we invaded Manuria and reached the doorstep of Beijing. Since then, we’ve established the Quanung Army. Acting highly autonomously, they defend our Chinese colonies, though at the risk of dragging us into another Cenino-Japanese war. Well, for the army, this isn’t a risk, it’s an opportunity. Having gained more and more influence over the government, it has been able to create significant investments into our arms industry and adopt the Imperial Defense Plan, a plan of proactive defense through quick and decisive offensive victories. This plan immediately comes into use in China as it is the first target of our continued imperial ambitions with its weak and splintered government and plenty of resources. Having already put extra pressure on the Chinese central government by reaffirming our demands from the great war, we are now seeking to find allies against their united front. The only one willing to support us is Menjang, who accepted their submission in return for recognition and helping their ambitions of a Mongolian state. Returning to Tokyo, the civilian government has gone up in flames after criticizing the growing army influence in a particularly disgraceful way. The cabinet collapsed and the army used this to finalize their seizure of power, becoming the dominant force in our politics as they replaced the prime minister with Sanjuru Hayashi, a general, though he was only a temporary prime minister to stabilize the situation and soon Prince Fumimaru Kono was appointed as new prime minister whose tenure certainly will last longer. Being from the army faction, the first thing he did was to strengthen the quantum army in East H Bay. And only a few days after this, the thing many army officers have been dreaming about occurred. The Quanung army and the Kuing Tang forces around Beijing started clashing over the Marco Polo Bridge, which quickly escalated. And with the Nanjing government not accepting our demands for peace, we declared war on China. As soon as the news reached back to the Quantum Army, it marched into Beijing. And with its overwhelming numbers and better everything, the victory was just as decisive as planned. Our cavalry quickly broke through and cross the Hihei River. With Beijing also captured, the Hay Shahar army collapsed, opening the door to the rest of China. Moving towards the next clique, our cavalry crossed the Yellow River and entered Yinan without resistance. Sensing their fall, their central government in Nanjing integrated the clique. But we continued as if nothing, launching a naval invasion on way highway, thanks to our overwhelming naval superiority, we opened the second flank, which would quickly link up with our main front. With Chinese forces now starting to show up on mass, we saw our first opportunity for a decisive victory casualty-wise. Encircling Ching Dao, eight divisions were encircled and destroyed. Seeing the success of the naval invasion and with the main front offensive having stopped due to the huge number of Chinese forces reinforcing it, we decided to stage another more ambitious naval invasion towards Shanghai. With about 20 divisions and another 16 currently in training, ready to move over to the new front, we plan to capture Nanjing. During the planning time, we analyzed our first offensives and adopted a subdocctrine of individual excellence for infantry. Back home, we had also seen investments into research together with the zibatus to keep up with the west. Finally, our government has also started dring the nation for this war against China, starting the national spiritual mobilization movement. Back to the war, the naval invasion was launched. And as we arrived to the shores of Shanghai, we quickly encircled its garrisons and secured the important port, allowing our reinforcements to flood in. With few Chinese forces, we marched onwards, capturing a second port, that of Hangu. And even if it wasn’t our original plan, we went southwards as the flank was open, defeating the garrison of Ningbu, and eventually reaching all the way to Woo to secure a total of four ports. Setting our sights on Nanjing, we set our tank force in battle for the first time and the success was immediate as they quickly broke through, captured the capital and continued with encircling three divisions. We then soon crossed the Yangu River from which we marched north almost riving to our main front. Though due to supply, the Chinese forces were able to hold out from an encirclement. Still, they wouldn’t hold out forever because sending our tank force to the north. And after some grueling battles, we captured the railway connecting to their supply hub in Shu, which toppled their defensive plans and allowed us to outflank them and encircle a record number of troops. Being already out of supply, it didn’t take long for us to defeat the over 200,000 men, connecting our two fronts in the process. Having already been at war for more than one year, as it is already June 1938, a lot of things have happened back home. Our focus on research has continued and we are on our way to catch up what we’ve lost. But mostly it was the civilian economy that was developed. Continuing the cooperation with the now influential Zibbatsu, our industry was greatly expanded and a more rigid economic plans were implemented. But as time goes on, we’ve more and more shifted towards war production, especially as the government is working on mobilizing our whole state and population for continuous war. Because after the civic faction was completely subdued, the brand new order in Japanese politics is being formed. One built on statism, militarism, and fascism. For this movement to take hold will take some time though because seeing our success in China, our government and army has decided to put all our efforts on defeating the nation before they begin building stronger defenses with Soviet and American help. And so we launched the longest consecutive offensives yet, Operation Ishigo, hoping to defeat the Chinese United Front once and for all. Foreign speech. Foreign speech. Foreign speech. She come to the China has been conquered and subjugated. We have personally taken control over several of their coastal states. While the rest of the land has gone to five separate protectorates, taking over much of the resources in the south and receiving a big amount of factories as well. Our economy, especially the military economy, has never been stronger. Though this has only worsened our resource problem and increased the necessity for continued expansion, especially when it comes to rubber and oil, still we can afford some time of peace, which we will use for much needed reforms. Because while our army was successful against China, nothing tells us it will be as successful against the more equipped and modern enemies. In addition, the government has finally implemented the new order movement, creating a totalitarian one party state and removing all elements of democracy that would simply harm us in a state of total war. Quickly after this, one of the biggest and most important announcements in foreign policy was made. We created the Greater East Asian co-rossperity sphere, an economic and military alliance to unite Asia under one rule and spread prosperity throughout the continent. Now to the important military reforms. While we’ve seen significant success using tank warfare, we will still rely on infantry offensives and create the strongest infantry in the world. Rather than trying to compete with the West, where tank warfare is far more suited, as shown in the current invasion of Poland by Germany, instead we will use our growing military industry to create an air force that will bring our enemies to its knees. Something which is especially important as due to the long neglect of our navy, we might have already lost the naval industrial war before it has even started. Research into medium airframes focused on long ranges has already started but investing a lot more into this new air force especially into research we will be able to propel it ahead of the allies. While developing this, our high command started planning for the next wars. A massive offensive to the south to take control over the resourcerich islands. With Germany putting increasing amounts of pressure on the allies in Europe, we too can increase it with little risk. And that would come with the fall of France, demanding Indochina from their defeated government they were forced to accept, allowing us to occupy the region and create two imperial protectorates. A great victory as our now improductionheavy fighters are screaming for rubber. Our new foothold in Southeast Asia would also allow us to force Sam into subjugation. All this puts us in the perfect position for a land invasions of our southern invasion plans, which leaves the more difficult naval plans left to prepare for. So despite our long abandonment, it is time to show the navy some love. starting to invest into naval dockyards to at least slightly catch up to the Americans. It will allow for the production of at least a capable raiding fleet. We even got help from the Zibbatsu in this development. But most of our focus will be put on preparing for the southern offensive such as elevating and expanding our Marine Corps and use our quite capable existing navy to prepare a surprise strike on the Americans in Hawaii. For the final few preparations, we started training more infantry garrisons, making sure to equip them with extra lethal equipment. Then we set up our first naval invasion against the Philippines and planned the land invasions of Malaya and Burma. In accordance with the co-rossperity sphere, we also created a faction theater in the eastern Indian subcontinent to coordinate our offensives. The 5th of May 1941, we sent our carrier fleet on the secret mission to Hawaii. 5 days later, as we arrived to the islands, we sent out our aircrafts and started the long bombing of Pearl Harbor. Two waves later, we had destroyed much of the facility and inflicted severe naval and morale damages on the Americans. With a war declaration following shortly after, we now find ourselves at war with the western democratic world. Launching first the invasion of the Philippines, our marines landed with no resistance. And with our quick army composed of motorized and bicycle divisions, arriving on its shores shortly thereafter, the Philippine defenses were quickly overrun as we surrounded and entered Manila, forcing MacArthur to leave the island nation. With our first victory, all according to the imperial defense plan of quick and decisive offensive victory secured, we moved on with our land offensives while preparing for the invasion of the oil and rubber reach Borneo. Starting in Burma, having the advantage of first strike, we broke through their defenses in no time, reaching Rangon in only two weeks and inflicting heavy casualties on the Raj forces. With a successful flank attack from Yunan, the last Burmese stronghold in Mandelai would fall, opening up for an invasion of India proper. Having already destroyed much of the Allied defenses, there wasn’t much stopping us. So eventually reached Dhaka and even further all the way to Kolkuta. Starting to slowly run out of supply. Though as our supply lines are stretching thin, we halted our offensive to instead establish a puppet regime under Shandra Bosa, cementing our foothold in India while restore supply. Looking to Malaya, this had quickly become the most protected front against us. But despite this, our infantry could still advance along the western coast thanks to our high spy presence in the region. Though upon reaching a river and a mountain range, the offensive would move to a standstill. So, it is time to begin the Long Island hopping campaign starting in Borneo. No Oh goch. Oh god. The year is 1943. And after plenty of naval invasions, most of the Southeast Asian islands have been liberated. For the first time in our history, we actually have enough resources while the Allies struggle with the loss of the rubber. We have seen some complications in the region though, like the liberation of the southern Philippines. But the fact that we are winning the naval war thanks to a naval bomber is more than making up for this temporary loss. While the war continues, as India, Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii all remain under Allied control, our focus will shift to a completely different front, that of Siberia. With the Soviet army in absolute shambles as the Germans are fast approaching the Eural Mountains, we’ve assembled a large force composed of our own forces and that of our allies to conquer Siberia. So despite it being winter, we declared war on the Soviets and marched into their vast eastern lands. Vladivosto, their capital in exile would fall in the matter of hours. An offensive into Mongolia was also staged to fulfill our promise to our Mongol military government. But being short on supply, the Mongolian communists were able to stop our advance to Lambatar. But no worries because from Sinkyang, we pushed into Central Asia, capturing the capital of the Kazak SSR. Only 2 months after our war declaration, the Soviet army completely collapsed. And with the reported death of Stalin, the war is already over. In Europe, the Germans would establish Reich Kumisariats up to the Eural Mountains. In Central Asia, several independent nations rose up. While in Siberia, we established a new Mongol Empire and several new imperial protectorates, leaving only a smaller part of Western Siberia in the hands of Soviet remnants. Seeing how large our co-rossperity sphere has already become, we will begin investing into our allies, creating the East Asian Development Board, we will reinvest what we’ve gained from them to strengthen our whole faction. Using our cooperation with Manuria as a role model, we will begin integrating the economies of the rest of our alliance too by having them adopt the yen as their currency. While our economic ministry works on this, we will return to the war against the Allies. Having already regained the initiative as we’ve recaptured the Philippines and cleaned up most small islands of resistance, we will slowly begin preparing for an invasion of Australia. While our navy does that, the army under Prince Murimasa Nashimoto will reopen the Indian front, hoping to capture the lost allied rubber resources in Asia. Starting first with a concentrated and localized offensive, the combined Indian and Mexican forces were quickly overwhelmed, especially thanks to our flame tanks. This allowed us to widen our offensive and start marching deep into India, being able to encircle their northern flank. half their defensive forces were put out of combat. So with the whole front open, we simply marched westwards until reaching Delhi. As it was the capital which held together the Raj with its fall, the jewel in the crown of the British Empire collapsed, especially thanks to the rival of our quick army, the Indian subcontinent was rapidly liberated and put under the control of the Azad Hind. Not even an attempted defense of Bombay or the slightly mountainous south could stop the inevitable. Only a month after this grand victory, we naval invaded son, ending the campaign in the Indian subcontinent. This leads us back to the Pacific War where a whole marine army of 18 divisions are ready to naval invade Australia. With naval and air superiority established and the Australian army already destroyed on another front, this should be a simple operation. Launching it, our three invasions landed with no issue, even capturing Brisbane with not a single shot fired. So we started marching south to their major cities. The first resistance was met in Sydney, but obviously a single division couldn’t stop us. with two whole infantry armies also reinforcing the front. There was nothing the Australian government could do. As when we captured Melbourne, they capitulated and went into exile. Due to a dire need of some naval reforms, as controlling over 250 submarines has become a pain, our offensives in the Pacific would slow down. Instead, we returned home to quite a new Japan. With the co-rossperity sphere reforms greatly successful, booming both ours and our allies economy, we are closing in on surpassing the Americans in civilian economic strength. This transformation has been mostly spearheaded by the zibatu who have replaced the army as the most dominant faction in our politics. Promoting panasianism as a way to expand profits, we would begin integrating our protectorates. Starting obviously with Manuria where our foothold is the strongest. The downside with the dominant Zibatu is that the divide between our two military factions has grown as they are now just as influential. Seeing as Fumimaru Konoa is no longer as supported as prime minister, but we lack a stable replacement. The emperor has decided to step in and take control over the situation. So with Hiroito steering the ship, it is time we finish the job and create the eternal empire. Naval invading New Zealand as our naval reconstruction is done. The small nation would soon collapse despite fighting more valiantly than the much larger Australia. With its fall, all enemy nations with their home in the Pacific have been defeated. So all that remains to do is to set our sights on Hawaii. With the American Navy hiding in California from our naval bombers, having already sunken every single one of their submarines, we have completely free reign in the Pacific. Starting by invading the important American forward base of Guam, our six marine divisions made quick work of its defenses because we’ve now equipped them with amphibious assault vehicles. Next up on the chopping block was Wake Island, followed by Midway Island and Jstone Atal. Oh, and of course, a bunch of random irrelevant islands. This leaves only Hawaii left. So, assembling our 18 marine divisions, we launched the invasion. It seems we went way too overboard because with only a single division defending the island, our victory was easily secured. Having also integrated large parts of the co-rossperity sphere at home, mostly with no issues of resistance, we can truly say that the eternal empire ruled by our divine emperor has been created. But you know it just as well as anyone. The war hasn’t been won before all enemies are defeated. This leaves an invasion of the Americas as the only way forwards. Thanks to our cruiser submarines, we’ve established control over the Mexican coast, which will allow our marines to stage an invasion. The difficult part is once we land, we would need an ungodly amount of cooperation between our land forces and the naval forces to secure its long supply lines. Thankfully, the work has been put in to secure such a cooperation because Hirohito has managed the impossible to end the interervice rivalry and unite the navy and army in the common operation of winning this war. So, in the middle of August 1946, the most important operation in this whole war was launched. After a week of seafaring, our marines arrived on the shores of Mexico. And with the Mexicans not even considering a naval invasion all the way from Hayi a possibility, all three landings were successful as we could quickly establish a secure foothold in the north of Mexico. After waiting a month for the reinforcement of our second army of Marines, we launched operation to defeat Mexico as the Americans have yet to react by sending any forces. There isn’t much noteworthy to discuss other than that the operation was a success like usual. Under our divine emperor Shua, our armies reached Mexico City and eventually forced the Mexican government into capitulation. So we now stand on the border of the United States of America and the timing couldn’t have been better. Having established a collaboration government in their country, their surrender level has been lowered. And with bad stability and war support, they are even seeing mutinies in their army, leaving them especially low on recruitable manpower. Launching our first offensive into California using our quick army of bicycles, we rode first to Los Angeles, meeting not that much resistance, which allowed us to continue our offensive, stretching our front thinner and thinner until we arrived to San Francisco and Eureka. Having captured the ports of the American Navy, we were able to finally catch parts of it, sinking two carriers and reducing their total amount of ships to under 100. With our army group of 120 infantry divisions having crossed the Pacific with no problems, we stand ready to march towards eastern USA. While the American army has less than 20 divisions on our front. So let us finish what we started in Pearl Harbor. foreign. in the dark. The year is 1948 and the Second World War has been won, splitting the world in two. In the center lies the axis of Germany, Italy and its allies, ruling all of Europe and Africa. While in the rest of the world, our grand empire of the rising sun has spread its wings. Not only do we have a collaboration government established in the United States, but we also have one in the United Kingdom to the irritation of the Germans. In our core Asian lands, the panasianism we champion has truly become a reality as even the old eternal enemy of China has been integrated with almost no resistance. With all this land, it is safe to say our resource security has been achieved. And our economy has also ballooned, having doubled the GDP of the German. So, we have achieved what we’ve set out to do and created the Eternal Empire with an economic miracle. Thanks once again to Paradox Interactive, who has sponsored today’s video.
