Is There More Elden Ring Nightreign DLC Content? | What We Didn’t See!

All right, what’s going on, guys? The DLC for Elden Ring Night Reign comes out in just two weeks, offering the first major expansion to the game, and we got a pretty good look at what’s coming in this DLC. The new nightfares, the new bosses, the new shifting earth, Artorius making a comeback. All of it looks super good. But today, I want to talk about what we did not see. What else is going to be included in this DLC that was not shown in the trailer? What else is going to be changing in Night Rain? And when it’s all said and done, how much content is this really going to have? That’s what we’re going to try and figure out because we have a pattern to go off of. There are a lot of other aspects of Night Rain that did not get addressed in the trailer. Even some things that have already been data mined and known were going to be included in the DLC for a long time. And we’re going to break all of that down. But as we get started today, as always, if you want to stay up to date on all things Elden Ring Night Reign, go ahead and hit that subscribe button. And now, let’s get into it. Let’s start off with the things that are most likely and then work our way into the more speculative side. So that means starting with what has already been data mined that we know for a fact is going to be coming to the game. And to start, let’s talk about new enemies. Now, in the trailer itself, we saw a few new enemies from Elden Ring’s DLC, Shadow of the Earth Tree, that are going to be making a return in Night Reigns DLC. For example, we saw in the shot of Iron Eye, the new Fire Knights, who were a fan- favorite enemy. We also saw in the shot of Duchess, Karan Knights making a return. And then in the bit showcasing Scholar, we saw more Mesmer soldiers. Now, we knew Messmer soldiers were going to be making a comeback because of the data mine. But what else was in the data mine? Well, that listed other enemies like the lion head imps from the shadow of the earth tree catacombs. It also listed the spider scorpions which you could find at the entrance to Bellerat. There were the blood fiends as well as the inquisitors and finally the ghost flame dragon. Now, those are all well and good. That’s a solid roster of new enemies to add to the map. However, it leaves out a lot of the standout enemies. What about the fan favorites? Things like the death knights, those would make fantastic POI bosses. Perhaps even the bosses where you can find those lion head imps. And what about enemies like the cursed blades or the black knights? And I may be an outlier on this, but I would like to see the furnace golems make a return. They would make a pretty challenging and interesting field boss and provide an obstacle to your exploration. The divine bird warriors and even the divine beast warriors would make really good POI bosses as well. And those fights specifically were some of the hardest in the DLC. So, I think introducing those would shake up the formula enough to make it feel fresh, especially in Night Rain. Now, how likely are those other bosses to make a return? I think there’s a good chance we’ll see them, especially in context of the new Shifting Earth, which has the Divine Beast Dancing Lion in it, the Divine Beast Warriors, I think, would make really good minor bosses in that area. Now, on that same note of the divine beast dancing lion, it draws into question, are we going to get any other shadow of the earth tree bosses? Specifically, the major bosses, the remembrance bosses. And this is where I think things start to get a little less likely. And there are a few I think we can go ahead and chalk off as definitely not happening. Two for certain promised consorton and Messmer. Now, the team behind Night Rain have explained that the reason they don’t want to include bosses like this is for lore continuity. Now, regardless how you feel about that, that’s just the way it is. It’s the reason why we don’t have many of the base games remembrance bosses except for the ones that are already repeated. So, when thinking about this for Night Re DLC, what we need to consider is, are there any remembrance bosses that are repeated or ones that don’t have significant lore continuity issues if they were to show up? Which is why, of course, we’re getting the divine beast dancing lion. But others that could make sense, I think could be bosses like Commander Gas or even Rana, as they could be easily explained by either a rename, and they’re not really tied to any huge lore elements in the original Elder Ring. Now, if they really want to surprise the fans without shaking up the lore too much, they could throw in these three. All would make fantastic field bosses, and none of them are really demiggod level enemies that the lore community are going to care too much to see show up in a spin-off like Night Rain. Plus, we already see a Saint Trina themed area in this DLC. They could just throw the putrescent knight in there and it would work just fine. But I do think that’s a bit of wishful thinking. I wouldn’t be surprised if the divine beast dancing lion is the only Shadow of the Tree remembrance boss we see in the Forsaken Hollows. Now, another part of Night Reign that will be expanded in the DLC is the collection of returning Dark Souls trilogy bosses. And of course, we saw one in the trailer, that being Artorius. Now, assuming Artorius isn’t going to be the only Dark Souls boss we get in this DLC, what are the rest going to be? Well, let’s look at what the base game of Night Re did. Having two bosses from each of the Dark Souls, we had the Centipede Demon and the Gaping Dragon from Dark Souls, Smelter Demon and Duke Steophya from Dark Souls II, and the Nameless King and Dancer of the Boreal Valley from Dark Souls II. Now, aside from those two from Dark Souls III, the others don’t really appear to have a rhyme or reason. But with this DLC, Artorius is very clearly the fan- favorite boss from Dark Souls 1. If we want to follow the pattern, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to consider that we could get one from each of the other games that would also be fan favorites. To think of an artorious level boss from Dark Souls 2, the ones that come to mind, for me at least, are the three best bosses from the DLC’s like Siron, Ivory King, and Fume Knight. But the thing about Dark Souls II is that it’s so unique and a lot of the bosses would work really well in Night Reign with a few adjustments. For example, even when Night Re was first announced, people were asking for consistently the Pursuer, especially when the system of boss invasions was announced, as that is quite literally the entire purpose of the Pursuer as a character. Now, do I think they’re going to do it? No. But I sure wish they would. A more realistic expectation, I think, would be something like Velstat. But what about Dark Souls III? The most obvious fan- favorite boss from Dark Souls III that comes to mind is 100% Gail with Madar as a close second. But for some reason when I think about those bosses being ported over, I have my doubts. I got to admit it’s hard for me to see them doing it. But if not those two, then who? Freda would be a good one. And I do think that’s a more realistic option. At least the third phase. Now with that, there is a part of me that would not be surprised if Artorius is the only boss we get from the Dark Souls trilogy making a return. With this part specifically, we were let down with the initial release. And that’s not necessarily being negative. It’s just the truth. Everybody expected more. So, it’s hard for me to really get too wishful when thinking about more Dark Souls bosses because it does seem to be much more complicated than simply porting them over. But, I really do hope they took that feedback and go the extra mile, bringing back more fan favorites alongside Artorius. That would be awesome. But now, let’s talk about everything else. Another thing we can pretty much guarantee to expect is at least one new skin per night farer. Now, are these going to be more of the Dark Souls skins or something entirely new? That’s where the speculation can come along. But I think that’s a safe bet. What I would like to speculate on though, not necessarily in this video, but it’s fun to think about. Are the Dark Souls skins for the new Nightfares? Are we going to get a light skin, a darkness skin, and two Dark Souls skins for each one? I would hope so. And there’s some fun ideas to be had with that. We can also pretty much guarantee that we’re going to get a wide selection of new relics, and I would generally hope that they’re as creative as the ones incorporated into Deep of Night. Time will tell on that, though. We can also expect Shadow of the Earth tree weapons, which we talked about in the last video about the DLC, and remembrance quests for the new nightfares, which have been data mined. These are all things the trailer did not show, of which we can expect. Now, the final thing that we still have yet to see in Night Rain that was data mined to an extent that I want to talk about today is Everdark Holster. And we’ve mentioned this several times in the past because the icon for this was data mine. It makes sense. And here we are 2 weeks before the DLC. And that event has not happened yet. So, Logic would assume that that is going to happen sometime in the live schedule of the DLC. I thought it would be a cool event as the final push before the DLC. But if they’re going to save this event for one of the final things to happen in Night Rain’s life cycle as a whole, that would be cool, too. But that is generally everything we can assume to be coming in the DLC that we did not see in the trailer. But what do you guys think? Is there anything I left out here? What other expectations do you have? And do you think with all of this considered that it’s worth the price tag? Y’all let me know down below. With all that though, if you enjoyed today’s video, be sure to leave a like on it and subscribe if you’re new around here. And I will catch you in the next one. Thank you.
