Black Ops 7 Zombies DLC 1 “Astra Malorum” Intro Cinematic Trailer REACTION!!
[Music] What’s going on everyone? Treyarch have just released the first official teaser for the brand new Black Ops 7 zombies map, Astra Moalum. This is the intro cinematic. I’m surprised we’re getting it this early. I mean, the map comes out in like about a week or two, but I mean, it’s crazy cuz the game just launched, but I cannot wait to see this. I’m not really sure how much it’s actually going to show of the map because sometimes the intros actually don’t show much of it. I mean, even the intro for Ashes of the Damned didn’t show much of the map. It was showing the Janice Towers like starting area more than anything, right? So, I’m not sure how much of the map this is going to show, but at least story-wise, we’re going to get a general idea as to where things are going. So, I’m excited to check this out. Let’s watch it. Oh, I love this song. They’ve been using a lot of great songs, dude. We’re in space just fully. What the hell? Oh my god. What is going on? We’re taking the truck on on a rocket ship. Oh my god, dude. The the budget is insane for these cutscenes. Compare this to Black Ops 6, man. Holy What, dude? It’s insane. Like, we haven’t had any action-packed cut scenes like this in a while. I mean, last one was as well, but Black Ops 6 didn’t really have many of those. Oh my god. I mean, the song’s great. That makes Oh my god. This is so cool. This is so damn cool. So, what is the map gonna look like then? Is it going to be inside of this rock? Eco mode. Oh, [Music] and man, I just hope there’s no ravagers on this map. That’s all I’m hoping for. Oh, the skull. I heard leaks about this damn skull. Is the map literally just gonna be on this skull? That’s what it looks like. So, the truck’s not going to be drivable on this map, right? It’s just We’re just get We’re just taking it here. That’s all. Everybody, what the hell? Remember where we parked. Oh, and there’s the planetarium. That’s crazy. All right, let’s break that down a little bit. I don’t think there’s much to break down other than the fact that uh there’s, you know, a good look at the map towards the end of the cut scene, but everything before it was just awesome to see. I I like the action-packed cut scenes like this. It’s obviously not very story focused, but I don’t really need a bunch of story thrown in these cut scenes. I think it’s more fun to just watch crazy stuff go down. I mean, that’s how cut scenes used to be. I feel like sometimes cut scenes were more story focused. I mean, you see a cut scene like the Shadows of Evil intro that was filled with story, but then an intro like the Gar Crov intro was not filled with story and instead was very much just action. So, I think a good mix of of the two is great. And um I’m okay with this one just being a crazy intro like this. And I mean, I like the look of it so far. It’s in space, which is obviously what we all thought it was going to be for a while. I mean, originally I thought it was going to be just the planetarium and maybe we’re going to travel to space, but it sounds like the planetarium is literally in space. There’s this weird skull here. I don’t know what this place is supposed to be, but it’s where they wanted to take us. And yeah, it’s very different. Um, only thing I’m not like absolutely crazy about is that I do feel like there is still like a purple feel to the map, I guess you could say. Like you could see the sky still has that purple hue to it because I think we’re still in the dark ether. But I do think uh the map itself looks good. So obviously that’s a planetarium very clearly. Um there’s a couple buildings though. I don’t know. I’m not sure what else we’re going to explore here, but it’s a very unique map. I think that’s what I like about it is that there really isn’t any other map I can think of that is like this, right? So, it’s nice to see a map that is fully unique. Cuz even when it was being described in leaks, I was like, I have absolutely no clue how to even predict what that’ll look like, right? Cuz it was being leaked as some sort of skull with a red glow. I all of it I just had no idea what that could possibly be. But this gives us a good look at what the map actually is going to be like. Got some purple crystals here. I mean, that’s just I guess dark ether stuff, so you know, it’s just going to be there. I just hope I really really hope there’s no ravagers on the map. That’s what I hope cuz they made a you know big point to show a lot of ravagers in the trailer. There was even ravagers here on this skull. I don’t want to see these guys on the map though. I I think this game needs to make the right choices that Black Ops 6 didn’t make. And one of those choices would be to have unique bosses on every single map. The only time I think bosses should ever return is either like on survival maps or if it’s like I don’t know like an Easter egg step or something. Like if you just want to have some bosses return for that that’s fine. But like the main bosses I hope we have at least like two new bosses like a new special enemy and a new new elite enemy. Like I I would like to see that. I’m sure we’ll get at least one but I don’t want to see ravagers back just like Vermin was on like every single Black Ops 6 map. We we should not be having that as a problem on this map. So hopefully the Ravagers being in this intro means nothing. It’s just for the sake of the intro. But dude, the quality of this cutscene was actually outstanding. Like I don’t I honestly think this might be the best looking cut scene ever. Like I don’t know. It’s the It’s insane how good it looks. So yeah, they’re clearly using their budget, right? We do know there’s going to be an intro for every single map, which is really cool. And like I said, I mean, I think it’s just a case of Black Ops. I think I think Black Ops 6 just all all its budget went to this game clearly. I think that’s very very clear. And I’m not saying that’s a good thing, but it’s good for Black Ops 7 at the very least. So, I guess it is what it is. I feel like they like to go out pretty hard with their DLC ones. Not all the time. There’s obviously been some stinker DLC ones, but it is a really important DLC. I think they’ve started to realize that. I mean, I still think Citadel is their best map in Black Ops 6. I know people disagree with me on that, but I think they really were swinging as hard as they could compared to other maps in that game. Obviously, with like the elemental swords and stuff. So, I there’s going to be some crazy stuff on this map. I just I hope that like I said, unique enemies, unique quests, unique like side Easter eggs. I want to see a lot of cool side things that other maps don’t have. I want unique side uh content. Like, dude, I I I don’t want TED tasks on this map. I’m sorry. TED tasks on this map would kind of just be annoying because it’s like, dude, we need unique things on these maps. We really need to have them feel as different as possible. And um I hope that this map can deliver that in as many ways as it can. So yeah, hopefully you guys enjoyed. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section down below.
