Sonic Lost Worlds LOST DLC… (& how to play it)
Sonic Lost World was Sonic Team’s attempt to appeal to Mario fans after striking a three-game exclusivity deal with Nintendo for the Wii U. But did you know Sonic Lost World actually had two exclusive DLCs for the Wii U? Well, technically not lost, just locked to the Wii U. Sonic Lost World will get both a Yoshi’s Island DLC and a Legend of Zelda DLC. While the Yoshi’s Island DLC is just a sidescrolling 2D level where you can pick up Yoshi eggs, the Legend of Zelda DLC is peak in every sense of the matter. Sonic dons Link’s iconic tunic as he explores a huge Legend of Zelda themed world with reskinned enemies, flickies, plenty of references, and Link himself riding in on a Crimson Loft Wing. Pretty dope stuff. But you might be asking, “How can I play this DLC?” Well, if you’re wanting to play it on the Wii U, you’re 2 years late at the eShop is closed. But if you’re on PC, a mod that fully restores the Yoshi’s Island and Legend of Zelda DLC is available, and the link for that will be in the description. If you haven’t checked these out, I’d highly encourage you to, especially if you’re a fan of these series or if you missed out on this DLC originally.
